Welcome to Flourishes Christmas Spirit Challenge 18!

Make your card shine or something on your card shine like fresh candy. Please use Flourishes stamps and when you wrap it up with a bow. So here is my card which finished size is 5"x7". I used white metallic paper by Stardream and then used this new paper I found called Gold Damask glitter paper by American Craft POW. Then I cut a frame using my new favorite Spellbinders die called Ornate Artisan Tags & Accents out of the gold and light gold metallic Stardream paper.
The gold metallic frame was pop up using foam dots as was the light gold tag. I used the evergreen branch from the set called 'All that Glitters' by Flourishes using black crafter's ink by Clearsnap and used Pearlustre Emerald Embossing Powder by Stampendous. Then I added some glitter highlights by using a Quickie Glue pen by Sakura and Moss Green, Granny Smith glitter by In the Making Enterprises. Attached them by using foam dots underneath the frame. I stamped the ornaments by using the same stamp set using black crafter's ink by Clearsnap.  I use the  Quickie Glue pen by Sakura and the following glitter to color the ornaments; Burgundy , Pink, Real Teal and Mystique all from  In the Making Enterprises. I cut them out leaving a little halo & attached them using foam dots plus used gold cording by Stampin'Up for the hangers. Stamped 'Merry Christmas" from the set called 'Rejoice' by Flourishes again using black crafter's and clear EP. Added Dark Moss Fluid Chalk around the edges and cut it out using Spellbinders tag.  Made double using gold ribbon by Michael's and attached a silk poinsettia that I found at Michael's on the top of the frame.

UPDATED:  I won a free set from Flourishes for this card. Thank you Flourishes for the free Christmas Border set.

The Beauty of A Technique- Flourishes Monthly Challenge

This month the challenge is  The Beauty of A Technique.  We are asking you to use a technique  for your creation. So here is my challenge, for the technique I'm using Alcohol Ink - Faux Bleach that I found on Splitcoast Stampers. For this technique you need glossy paper, alcohol ink and clear embossing powder. I used Flourishes 'Holly' background stamp and inked with Top Boss and stamped on glossy paper. Applied clear embossing powder and shook off excess. Then I heat set. Then I took out my Tim Holtz alcohol inks in the following colors; Clover, Lettuce, Watermelon, Sunshine Yellow so the background is completely covered. Then I took another piece of white paper and laid over top colored glossy paper. Then I took a hot iron with no steam and ironed off the embossing powder leaving white holly leaves showing. I then stamped the Angel from the set called 'Alleluia Angel' by Flourishes using black crafter's ink by Clearsnap and embossed using clear EP. I then colored the angel using Smooch ink by Clearsnap in the following colors; Gold Lame, Siren, Ocean, Moonlight, Frosted Aqua, and Shabby Pink. Then I covered the Angel with Clear EP and heat set. I stamped the sentiment from the same set using black crafter's ink by Clearsnap and embossed using clear EP. Then I added Top Boss to extend the drying time when I added Siren and Gold Lame Smooch ink to color the sentiment.  I added tangerine grosgrain ribbon by Stampin'Up. Flourishes Timeless Tuesday #138

Be inspired by the photo below for your creation… maybe it’s the clean lines of the porch steps, the variety of colors, the beautiful flowers… whatever you take from the photo, be inspired! Here is my take on the photo. I made this little treat holder that I found the instructions here; http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/treatboxcard/
I used Early Espresso for the base and used BoBunny 's Forever Fall Collection for the rest of the papers. I cut out the tag using a Sizzix die called Scalloped Tag using More Mustard paper by Stampin'Up then I cut paper called 'Forever Foliage' a little smaller than the tag so it fit inside the cut lines so when I ran it thru it would be a bit smaller than the More Mustard tag. I cut out a label using Spellbinders Label Nine using Tempting Turquoise paper by Stampin'Up. I ran part of tag thru a Sizzix embossing folder called 'Birds & Wreath' set. I applied a glue pen to the raised edges and then applied Lucky Penny Designer Foils by Clearsnap. I stamped saying  from the set called 'Falling Leaves' by Flourishes using black crafter's ink by Clearsnap and emboss using detail black by Ranger. Sponged the following colors: Deep Lagoon, Chestnut Brown and Burnt Sienna Fluid Chalk by Clearsnap. Applied Pumpkin Smooch ink along the edge. Used quilted satin Early Espresso ribbon by Stampin'Up plus orange/red ribbon by May Arts for the tag. I cut paper 'Forever Fall Stripe' for the inside of the holder where the tag fits. I also cut 'Forever Fall' and used the backside of the paper for the front of the tag holder. I cut out the sunflower from Spellbinders Sunflower set Two using brown glitter paper and paper from BoBunny 'Forever Fall'. Used a Summer Sun corduroy button that Stampin'Up used to sell. I stamped two open leaves from the set called 'Falling Leaves' by Flourishes using Archival ink by Ranger and colored them by using US ArtQuest mica paints. Cut them out and layered them in behind the sunflower. Stamped saying 'Happy Holidays' from the set called 'Dove & Holly' by Flourishes using black crafter's ink by Clearsnap and emboss using detail black by Ranger. Cut this out twice by using Spellbinders 'Grommet Tags' and Early Espresso paper for one and shimmery white for the other. Sponged the following colors: Deep Lagoon, Chestnut Brown and Burnt Sienna Fluid Chalk by Clearsnap. Added 2 turquoise basic pearls as shown.

For purposes of this JustRite challenge, “Fall Festival” covers the general Fall season or any occasion/holiday within: Back-to-School, Fall sports or outings, Halloween, Thanksgiving, etc.
So here is my 3-D project; a Thanksgiving card for my parents. Us, Canadians celebrate our Thanksgiving next weekend. I made a gatefold easel card using BoBunny's newest line called Forever Fall. I used one 12" x 12" Early Espresso paper by Stampin'Up and rest I used was from BoBunny collection. I decorated it with stickers and used Spellbinders for front, inside and the bottom to hold the card up.
