Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge #72–November 5, 2011

If you are ready, we have another fun sketch to share with you this week.  Feel free to turn or flip the sketch, add the element onto a card, use the sketch AS a card base, use it in a scrapbook layout or design a 3-D project.  Just use the basic principals of this sketch in your design. This my first ever WaltzingMouse Challenge, I have been drooling over these stamps for awhile and I finally broke down and bought some which arrived last Friday.
So here is my take on the sketch, I took a piece of Chocolate Chip paper by Stampin'Up cut my paper down to  5"x 12", score @ 3 1/2", 7" and 10 1/2". You will be left with a 1 1/2" flap. After folding the paper, I snip off the ends so it would look like a tag. I used BoBunny 'Noel' collection to add layers to the tags.

To keep the tags together as shown I used Christmas Cheer from the set called "Seasonal Remedies" by Waltzingmouse Stamp. I stamped it out using black crafter's ink by Clearsnap and embossed using clear EP. I then colored the image using Tim Holtz distress stains in the following colors; Fired Brick, Antique Linen and Peeled Paint on shimmery white paper by Stampin'Up. I cut out a piece of chipboard and red paper using Spellbinders' Lacey Squares and adhere to them both together. Then I cut Christmas Cheer out using 'Fleur de Lis Squares" by Spellbinders and adhere that to red square using foam tape. Then I place a Velcro fastener (loops -female end) on the back of the chipboard on the back of the tag is the (hook-male end)
For the first tag I stamp Christmas Spirit from the same stamp set as the first and did the exactly same as the front tag. I adhered tag to the red paper that I cut out by using Spellbinders Scalloped Rectangle. I stamped the poinsettia using black crafter's ink by Clearsnap and embossed using clear EP. Then I used red Siren Smooch ink by Clearsnap to color the poinsettia then embossed it once using clear EP. The second tag I stamped the ornament from the set called 2011 Holiday Ornaments by Waltzingmouse Stamps. I used a quickie glue pen by Sakura and Burgundy and Green Moss Glitz Ritz glitter by In The Making Enterprises to color the ornament. I cut out the bow for ornament by using Memory box dies called "Crisp Bows" out of white metallic paper. I used the following paper from the Noel Collection called "Noel Ornaments" and used pop up dots to add dimension so it look like the ornaments were hanging from the tree. I used Magenta's peel off for the string. The third tag I just stamped the ornament using Vivid Hot Red ink by Clearsnap from the same set.
On the backside of Tag #3 I stamped the medium Poinsettia using black crafter's ink by Clearsnap and embossed using clear EP. I colored it using US Artquest Stargazer MicaColor Watercolor Palette using Red and Purple for shading. I stamped Christmas Wishes using black crafter's ink and Cherry Cobbler EP by Stampin'Up and coloring with Tim Holtz distress stains.
