Loves Rubberstamps Design Day

Well I'm back with another Christmas card for Loves Rubberstamps inspirational post. It seems kind of odd that Christmas is over for another year. I started off using Always Artichoke for my base which is a 5" X 7" finished card size. I then used Bo Bunny 'Noel' Collection for the rest. I added 4 layers of paper before cutting out the pine bough 4 times using the Marianne Creatables die called 'Pine Tree Branch' using various of Bo Bunny papers. For 2 of the branches I used the Marvy Uchida Snow Marker for snow and dusted with cool highlight glitter while still wet.
For the other 2 branches I used Sprinkle N Sparkle Dimensional Glue and again sprinkle green highlight glitter on one and cool highlight glitter on the other, while still wet. I stamped the Angel ornament by Impression Obsession using black memento ink that Laura sells both the ink pad and Impression Obsession stamps in her store here; http://lovesrubberstamps.net
I colored the Angel ornament using Prismacolor pencils and then used gold, green, red and blue glitter to coincide with colored pencil areas. I then used a transparent glitter called 'Seabreeze' for the background areas. I added some gold ribbon by Michael's  along with a bow. I added a sticker from the same collection for the sentiment.

My Mom went to England.....

Stamp Set 475 - Holiday Foliage

At Sparkle N Sprinkle we are having an In House Challenge for December which is to make a scrapbook page. Then our designers would get to vote on their favorite one on Jan 1st, 2013 and the winner would get a $25 to spend in the store. For my layout I used the stamp set Holiday Foliage which you can find in the store here; http://sparklensprinkle.com/o/product_info.php?cPath=82_88&products_id=5960 I incorporated a lot of embossing powders, stamps and glitters in this scrapbook page which again can find in the store here, http://sparklensprinkle.com/ and the complete details on how I made this layout will be available on Jan 1st, 2013.When I was growing up we had a couple West Highlander White Terrier dogs, one name Allister who ran away & never came back and then a couple of years later, we got a new Westie name Tammy who died just after my son was born. She was 16 years old, so we have quite a few ornaments in our house featuring Westies. My sister's kids had two Westies called Casey & Molly when they were growing up. Both has since passed on and Casey was born the day after my son so we could always remember how old Casey was.So you know the old saying; my Mother went to England and all she brought back was the dumb old sweater. So here is my scrapbook page of my oldest nephew who is 14 years old now. In this picture he is about 14 months and his wearing a 'Westie' Sweater that my mom brought back for my son who is now 17 years old. Unfortunately my son never wore the sweater  because it was too small for him by the time winter rolled around again. I was too dumb to put it on him in the summer and take a picture. So both my nephews wore the sweater. That's what is written on the hanging sign.

So here is a close- up of the hanging sign.

A Close-up of Zachary.

A Close- up of the left hand side of the layout!

Stamping Dragon Designs Card Challenge - Waiting For Christmas

Well I'm back with another card for Stamping Dragon and It's my turn to be the Hostess. Yeah!  This week's challenge is 'Waiting for Christmas' which as a child I found really hard to do, waiting for Santa to come! One fond memory was when my brother was 2 weeks old, while my Mother was tending to my brother, I went out to see if Santa had come, which he did. So in my room I was playing with my Barbie Camper that Santa had brought for me and it was the longest night after my mother told me to put it away. It seemed that morning would never come.
So here is my card, I used Early Espresso for my base which was a 5"x 7" finished size. I used S. E. I. collection called 'Christmas Mint' for the rest. I added 2 layers before using a light green paper and cut it out using a Joy! Craft die called 'Rectangle Frame' I printed out 'Jiggy Can't Wait' onto shimmery white paper and colored him using Prismacolor Pencils. I added Twinkling Clouds glitter flocking by Sparkle N Sprinkle for his hat and pompom. I added some green & brown stripe ribbon along with a bow that I found at Michael's. I added some dimensional stickers that I had in my stash along with some Cherry Cobbler Sweater Trim to the tag.

Shelly's Images Card Challenge - "Out with the OLD, In with the NEW".

Well I'm back with another card for Shelly's Images, Can you believe Christmas is only 5 days away! This week's challenge is  "Out with the OLD, In with the NEW".  Use something new on your project. You can win the $6 Voucher from the store.

So here is my card which I started off using Cherry Cobbler paper for my base which is a 5"x 7" finished card size. I found this paper collection called Daisyd 'Mistletoe Memories' in my stash that honestly I really don't know why I bought it except it made me think of old fashion Christmas back before my time. When I took it out there was this paper that looked exactly like my image that I used. So there is a reason for my paper hoarding.. I added 3 layers of the fine paper collection before I cut out a square frame using my newest dies that just came in mail called Marianne Creatables Dies - Square Frame. I cut out another frame using another new die called Marianne Creatables Dies - Anja's Square using green holly velvet paper that was also in my stash. I sponged brown ink over the raised areas. Then I laid down a postcard from the same collection using the old fashion bells on it. I printed the Jingle Bells onto shimmery white paper and colored them using Prismacolor Pencils. You can find this image in Shelly's Store here; http://www.shellysimages.com/DigiShop/index.php?id_product=152&controller=product . I added some Smooch Glitz in Goldrush which is gold glitter that I accented on to the bells and Frost which just clear glitter that I placed on the ribbon. I added some ribbon along with a bow that I found at Michael's. I added some poinsettia flowers that were from my stash using a red brad from Stampin'Up. I again used some new dies from Marianne Creatables called Mistletoe Twigs and Leaves using light gold metallic and gold stripe metallic paper. So there you have it something Old which is my paper from Daisyd 'Mistletoe Memories' and something New Marianne Creatable dies!

I then added gold glitter to the sentiment using a Sakura Glue pen.  You can find both  these images together here in the Whimsy Store; http://www.whimsystamps.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=13_38&products_id=2202&zenid=0evsaf8l3vccraht3iq5s nsfh4
I then cut out a wreath using  Impression Obsession die called 'Twig Wreath' and used the white paper from the collection called 'Silver Valley'. I then used the pine needle die to cut out the needles using gold metallic paper and cut the holly leaves out of silver metallic paper. I popped up the candle using pop up dots and then added the pine needles and the holly leaves. I punched out the sentiment using Decorative label punch and then cut out a mat by using scissors and following the outline of the punch. I then took out my Marvy Snow marker pen and added some snow to the pine needles. I added some gold ribbon & bow that I found at Michael's.

Hello and welcome to Day 3 of our December Digital Stamp Release Showcase!

On Monday (3rd December) Whimsy Stamps released this month's new digital designs, From then until 6th December the Whimsy Digital DT are showcasing these fabulous new  goodies with a daily mini blog hop and I am part of today’s hop!
I started off using Baja Breeze paper for my base which is a
5"x 7" finished card size. I used Tim Holtz's newest seasonal paper stash called 'Holidays Past' for the rest. I printed out the poinsettia's by Dana's Digi twice onto shimmery white and colored them using Prismacolor pencils. I added some gold and red glitter for the centers. I cut out 4 leaves using Spellbinders 'Layered Poinsettia' using bluish green metallic paper. I ran these leaves thru Tim Holtz embossing folder called 'Texture Poinsettia Pattern set'. I cut out a frame using Spellbinders 'Asian Motifs' using light blue metallic paper and then cut out the middle using a piece of Tim Holtz paper which I attached a sticker from S.E.I. Winter Song collection. I used the sentiment from Christmas Candle  by Michelle Roo Designs and colored it using Cool Highlight and Ocean Spray Glitter. I added some Baja Breeze seam binding ribbon along with a bow at the bottom of card. I added some snowflake diecuts from S.E.I. Winter Song collection.
