DDC#23 - "Musical Lyrics" With a Blog Hop!

Hello stamping friends!! It's time for another new release hop this week over at Digi Darla's! We'll be showcasing some of the JULY new releases at our sister site - Digital Stamp Club!! Each of us on the DT chose an image from all of the July releases to show you and guess what!! Each one of us will be choosing one lucky winning comment to receive our image choice!! So make sure you hop around to all our blogs and be sure to comment for a chance to win a DD image!!! We're also giving away a GRAND PRIZE!! Just for joining us, using a DIGI DARLA image, you will have a chance to win ALL of theJuly's New Release images!!! OMGosh!!

So, let's get this party started, shall we?? If you've arrived here from (RACHELLE) then you are on the right track!! If you're just arriving, please be sure to start at the very beginning, Denise's blog, so you don't miss one thing!! Our challenge this week is "Musical Lyrics" - we want to see a musical lyric on your creation. Any era, genre, it's completely up to you. Can even be a children's song!

And here's my creation using Digi Darla's (Seahorse and Whatcha Been Uo To?)

My card came to me by the song by Bette Midler sung 'Under the Boardwalk' from the movie Beaches.
I started off using dark blue metallic paper which is 5"x 7" finished card size. I then use a green metallic paper for the first layer. Then I used Penny Black paper called 'Gold Music paper' for the second layer. I then used 2 papers from the collection by Christine Adolph from Creative Imaginations called 'Seashore' and 'Sea Stripes. I made 2 frames using Oceanside Die-cut Shapes by Christine Adolph using the above named papers. I printed the Seahorse (from the July 9th release) onto shimmery white paper and colored him using Prismacolor pencils  as well as printed the sentiment  (from the July 31st release) onto shimmery white paper and cut it out using decorative punch by Stampin'Up. I cut out the sea shells using the paper called 'Seashore' and add some blue glass glitter from Melissa Frances. I added some blue/green ribbon by May Arts and some light blue pearls as shown.

Now before you leave, be sure to leave me a comment for a chance to win this fabulous image!! Don't forget to join our challenge this week for a chance to win the entire July Release-you need to use a Digi Darla image!!!
If you don't have one, please email Karen and she'll send you a past freebie!

Your next stop is the super talented (EMMA(GUEST DT FOR AUGUST))!! Happy hopping and look fwd to seeing you at Digi Darla's this week!! Good luck!
