Delicious Doodles DT Call

I happen to be browsing thru DT Calls (which are free) when I came along this casting call for Design Team members for Delicious Doodles. I was checking out their store and saw these amazing images that were just begging to be coloured. I love to color using Prismacolor pencils, Copic markers or any other type of medium.  Teri gave us this free cupcake image to color. So here is my card for their design team call.
I used Concord Dot from Bo Bunny for my base which is a 6"x 6" square card. I used Basic Grey collection called 'Kioshi' for the rest of my papers. I used a basic purple 'Yuriko'  for first layer and small flower print 'lilo' for the second layer. I made a torn frame using the following 2 pieces of paper called ' Camelia' & 'Ume' from the same collection. I printed the cupcake onto shimmery white paper and coloured it using Prismacolor pencils. I put Ranger's clear embossing pen on the strawberry and use clear UTEE embossing powder on the strawberry to make it shiny. I cut out the square using Carmelia paper and Spellbinders 'Fleur de Lis Square' and inserted into the opening and then laid the cupcake on top. I cut out 3 photo corners using pink glitter paper and Spellbinders die from Heartfelt Creations. I laid some green ribbon by American Crafts around the frame and added a triple bow. I added 4 red brads one for each flap. I stamped a sentiment from the set called 'A Word for You' by Stampin'Up using Lilo paper, white pigment ink and black embossing powder. This was then cut out using Spellbinders ' Fancy Tag 2'. I added a pearl flourish in the top right corner by Prima Marketing along with a yellowish/orange flower as shown. I added some green pearls by Kaisercraft on the tag. I added a green sparklers as well as petal pins pearls again by Prima Marketing.

UPDATE:  I wasn't one of the lucky ones who made the team.
