Loves Rubberstamps Card Challenge - Inspired by a Photo

I'm back with another card for Loves Rubberstamps card challenge which is inspired by this photo. I used Soft Suede for my base which is a Double Zig Zag Card. Which I found the directions here: http://mariannespapir.blogspot.de/2012/06/double-zig-zag-card-tutorial.html

I used Stampin'Up retired paper collection called 'Le Jardin' for the rest of my papers. I used Stampin'Up eyelet punch to punch along the edges of the Soft Suede paper and different papers of Le Jardin as well.

Here is a picture of the inside of the card. I stamped the Girl from the Mo Manning stamp set called "Talk to the Bear" using Ranger's Archival Coffee ink. I coloured her using the following Stampin 'Up reinkers; Old  Olive, Lucky Limeade, So Saffron, Daffodil Delight, Chocolate Chip, Soft Suede and Early Espresso and a water brush to give her watercolor look. I cut her out using Spellbinders 'Curved Rectangles' and sponged Soft Suede around the edges. I then outlined the edge using Lettuce Smooch ink by Clearsnap. I added some light yellow roses by Prima Marketing as shown. I stamped the sentiment 'Talk to the Bear' using black crafter's ink and embossed using Stampendous 'Pearlustre Emerald' EP. I used 3 small roses by I AM Roses and sprayed them using Lindy's Stamp Gang Starburst sprays 'Icy Primrose God' and 'Royal Peacock Fire'. I punch this out using Stampin'Up large oval, then I punched a larger scalloped out of gold glitter paper and then used a larger scallop punch out Soft Suede. I placed this on a belly band to help keep the card closed. I added some basic pearls as shown.Pin It Now!
Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Gorgeous zig zag card, Jackie! Love the use of the border punch on the edges, with the deep earth tones. Could her little pout be any prissier? LOL Very cute image. The glitter looks great!
