Another Inspirational Post for Whimsy Stamps

Wow three cards in one day, must be some kind of record for me. Here is my last card and this time it's  for Whimsy Digital Stamps. I used the lovely image by Miss Rach called 'Mr. Birthday Ducky' which you can find here in the store; http://www.whimsystamps.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=13_67&products_id=2711&zenid=a917ded6050404cb509a110d881efe2a. I colored him using Prismacolor pencils and added some blue glitter for his birthday hat. I started off using Chocolate Chip paper for my base which is a 5"x 7" finished card size. I then used My Mind's Eye Lost & Found Two collection called Breeze "Boyish" for the rest. I added 3 layers before cutting out a picture frame from one of the papers called '"Dream". I then cut out another frame using a Memory Box Die called 'Palace Oval Frame' using a blue damask paper from the same collection. I then used a sentiment from Raindrop Echo Designs which you can find here in the store; http://www.whimsystamps.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=13_15&products_id=601&zenid=a917ded6050404cb509a110d881efe2a
I sponged on Chestnut Roan and French Blue Fluid Chalk along the edges and added some blue/brown   dot ribbon along with a bow.

Loves Rubberstamps Card Challenge- Use Your Favorite Color Combination

I'm back with another card for Loves Rubberstamps and this will be my last post for them. I have decided to step down as a member of the Design Team because of too much crazy stuff going on in my life right now. I started off using red metallic paper for my base which is a 5"x 7" finished card size. I used the latest Authentique collection called 'Joyous' for the rest. I added 3 layers before cutting out the 4th layer using red foil paper and using Memory Box die called 'Tiffiany Frame'. I cut out 3 branches using a Marianne Creatable die called 'Pine Tree Branch' using green paper from the same collection. I then took a Marvy Snow Marker and added some snow which puffed up after heat setting. Our Sponsors this week are Sweet N Sassy and Paper Nest Dolls and we were lucky enough to get a Sweet N Sassy image which I chose the adorable Titmouse. I colored her using my Primsacolor Pencils and added green glitter to the leaves and red glitter to the berries. I used a puzzle piece that came with the collection and added 3 coats of UTEE, then  added 2 stickers to the puzzle. I added some red glitter tape along with a bow using Cherry Cobbler Seam binding. My favorite Christmas colors are traditional Red & Green.

Inspirational Post for Whimsy Stamps

Well I'm back with another card for Whimsy Stamps using this adorable girl eating watermelon by Lia Stampz. This brings back a lot summer memories eating sweet juicy watermelon which dripped all over your face and wiping your mouth with your sleeve because you didn't have a napkin. This image is called 'Watermelon' by Lia Stampz and you can find it here at the Store here; http://www.whimsystamps.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=13_41&products_id=2693&zenid=355fa66f56404e4e9c0945ebfd8e6ff7
I started off using red metallic paper for the base which is a 5"x 7" finished card size and used some old Prima Marketing papers from my stash. I added 2 layers before cutting out the third layer using a  new Joy! Craft die called 'Square Frame + Corner' using the other side of the paper. I also cut out 4 corners using the corner die that came with it.  I then used the newest Viva Decor Inka Gold called 'Hydrangea' around the edges of the frame and the 4 corners using my finger to add some bling. I then cut out a circle using the JustRite die called 'Lacey Tiers Die' again using the same paper collection. Again I applied  the following Viva Decor Inka Gold  products Hydrangea, Apricot, Mint Green and Lava Red to the edges of the circle. Where the holes in the die were I added some brushable glue by Sparkle N Sprinkle and added some Tim Holtz Distress Glitter called 'Seedless Preserves'. I then colored the girl using my Prismacolor pencils and used Copic Markers for the skin. I added some pink glitter to her shirt and purple glitter to her pants. I also added some yellow glitter to the center of the flower. I then added some glossy accents to the seeds in the watermelon so they would stand out. I added some pale purple ribbon with a bow by Stampin' Up along with some purple flowers by Petaloo and Prima Marketing.

Loves Rubberstamps Card Challenge - Round or Square Shaped Cards

I'm back with another card for Loves Rubberstamps and this week's theme is Round or Shape cards. Our sponsor this week is The Paper Shelter which us designers were given 3 images to choose from. I chose the Vintage Seamstress for my image. I chose to do a 5" square card using Sizzix Pop'N Cuts' Square with Ornate edge for the base of my card using Early Espresso paper. I then used the Stampin'Up exclusive Dress Form Pop 'N Cuts die for the insert that was designed by Karen Burniston which fits inside of the base. For the rest of my papers I used Bo Bunny collection called Cést La Vie for the rest and you can find it in the store here; http://www.lovesrubberstamps.net/category_320/Bo-Bunny.htm. For the front of the card I added 3 layers and then cut out a tag from one of the papers which was popped up using foam tape and added some green/blue ribbon to it. Then added the Vintage Seamstress which was colored using Prismacolor pencils. For the inside I added 3 layers behind the dress form and the last layer I ran it thru the Sizzix Textured Impression Embossing Folder called 'Foyer Set' to emboss the lamp and the picture frame which I highlighted using Sea Crystal Fluid Chalk. I cut out the dress using Stampin'Up exclusive Dress Up Framelits die and added some basic pearls as shown. For the bottom of the card I again used 3 layers and added a sticker from the same collection.

Shelly's Images - TTT Challenge Theme - Oh Scrap!!!! Use your scraps on your projects.

Shelly of Shelly's images is about to be a "Grandma" this August and so hence the reason for the rattle as an image. You can find the rattle image here in the store; http://www.shellysimages.com/DigiShop/index.php?id_product=218&controller=product
The monthly challenge for the month of August is "Oh Scrap" to use scraps on your project. I used scraps of ribbon that I had left over from previous projects. I started off using Early Espresso for my base which is a 5"x 7" finished card size. I then used Graphic 45 'Little Darlings' for the rest. I added 3 layers of paper before placing down a white heart doily and then adding scraps of white lace and then use a blue crocheted lace on top. I then use sheet of paper that had all these cute babies on it which I cut out using my postage scissors to add a decorative edge around the images. I also cut out the 'Little Darlings' banner as well as the sign the says 'For Baby' from the same paper collection. I then printed the rattle image (which came with 3 different ones) onto shimmery white paper and colored the rattle using Prismacolor pencils except for the hand which I colored using my Copic Markers (E01, E11 & E13). I then added some glitter from Sparkle N Sprinkle.
