Halloween Card for Whimsy Stamps

Well I'm back with another card for Whimsy Stamps and with Halloween around the corner. I decided to make a Halloween Card using Crissy Digis called 'Halloween Witchy Girl' which you can find in the store. I coloured her using my Prismacolor pencils and added some glitter on her dress, boots, stocking and pumpkin. I started off using basic black paper for my base which is a     5"x 7" finished card size. I then used various halloween papers which I have in my stash for years. I added 3 layers before using a Martha Stewart black spider web ribbon that I found at Michael's. I then cut out a frame using a Memory Box die called 'Spooky Frame' using black paper. I then added some Inka Gold 'Platinum'  to highlight the spider web and then added some Gunmetal Glitter by In The Making Enterprises which I laid on top of the spider web ribbon. I then laid down some Pumpkin ribbon as well as some purple glitter tape. I then used some halloween flowers which I had in my stash.

Inspirational Post for Whimsy Stamps

Well I'm back with another card for Whimsy Stamps using the cutest little bear called 'Smores Bear' by Miss Rach Digi's, which you can find here. I printed the bear out onto shimmery white paper and colored him using Prismacolor pencils. I added some white liquid applique to the marshmallow and while it was still wet I added some Sand Glitter to make it look like it was cooked.  I started off using Early Espresso for my base which is a 5"x 7" finished card size. I then used the S.E.I. collection called 'Mirelle' for the rest. I added 2 layers and for the third layer I ran it thru a Tim Holtz Texture Fades called 'Bricked & Woodgrain'. I then used some Inka Gold metallic paste to highlight the texture. I then cut out a frame using a Memory Box die called 'Palace Oval Frame' again applying some Inka Gold metallic paste to highlight the frame along with some green basic pearls. I then used a Whimsy sentiment called 'Celebration Sentiments' which I punched out using a Marvy Uchida scallop oval punch. I then cut out 4 trees using Cottage Cutz die called 'Rustic Sign & Trees' and on the trees I applied some Iridescent Glitter Paste by Viva Decor. I then added some white liquid applique to the trees to add some snow.

An Inspirational Post for Whimsy Stamps

Well I'm back with another inspirational post for Whimsy Stamps. This week I decided to use Crissy Digi's fabulous image called 'Christmas Gift Horse' which you can find here in the store. I started off using black metallic paper for the base which is a 5"x 7" finished card size. I then used Graphic 45 latest collection called 'Twelve Days of Christmas' for the rest. I added 2 layers before cutting out a third layer using 'Gold Majesty Circles' by Spellbinders. I then added some Champagne Inka Gold by Viva Decor around the edges. I then cut out bird with roses from the same paper line and popped it up using foam dots. I colored the horse using my Prismacolor pencils and added some white glitter for the trim and pompom on the Santa hat. I  added some gold ribbon along with a bow for left hand corner. I also took a gold glitter pen by Viva Decor and added some gold pearls on the frame.

Flourishes - Get in Shape – September Release Challenge!

In just a few short days Flourishes will be unveiling beautiful September Release of FIVE sets, and playing in this challenge is your chance to win our whole September Release!
All you need to do is create a Shaped Card OR a 3D Item.  You can either create a card using any non-standard shape (we encourage you to think creatively),  or a lovely box, ornament, home decor item, or anything 3D….it’s all up to you!
So here is my card, I decided to do a half circle step up card which I found the template from Creations by Norma. I used the largest circle from the  Grand Scallop Circle by Spellbinders which I cut out using Early Espresso as my base. I then used Graphic 45 Christmas Past Collection for the rest. I then used the Spellbinders Label 23 to cut out the rest of the layers. I stamped the Poinsettia (3 times) from the stamp set called 'Poinsettia & Pine' by Flourishes using black crafter's ink and stamped the holly as well (3 times) using shimmery white paper. I colored the poinsettias using Inka Gold 'Old Gold' by Viva Decor using an aqua painter and thinning down the paint. I also did it with the pine branches, holly and berries using red & green. I then added some champagne glitter to the poinsettias, green to the pine and holly while adding red glitter to the berries. I used an old chipboard piece from Bo Bunny 'Noel' Collection'

Inspirational Post for Whimsy Stamps

Well I back with another card for Whimsy Stamps using the digital image by Moon Cookie Gallery called 'Branches of Love". I really love this tree because it  reminds me of Autumn and how the trees start to turn color. I colored "Branches of Love" using my Prismacolor pencils and added some orange glitter for the leaves. I then decided to glitter around the branches using some transparent yellow and red glitter to make it look like a sunset. Autumn doesn't arrive for another couple of weeks and in Alberta, we have been having unseasonal hot weather +27 C for the last couple of days. I take that anytime now that summer is almost gone and kids are back in school. So here is my card, I started off using Early Espresso for my base which is a 5"x7" finished card size. I then used the latest Bo Bunny Collection called 'Autumn Song' for the rest. I used 3 layers, after laying the first one down, I offset the next 2 layers. I then used some orange glitter ribbon which I found at Michael's before placing all 3 layers down. I then laid down a tag using Bo Bunny 'Noteworthy stickers' from the same collection. On top of that I cut out a frame using the new Spellbinders die called 'Gold Majestic Circles' using red paper from Autumn Song collection. I then sponged on Viva Decor Inka Gold in Lava Red and Orange. I then cut out the sticker from Autumn Song sticker collection using another Spellbinders die called 'Label 13' again sponged on Lava Red Inka Gold. I add some leaf buttons along with a bow using Gold/Brown satin ribbon by May Arts.
