November Monthly Challenge- To make a project for Gift but no card!

Hi Everyone, It's that time again for Elizabeth Craft Designs Monthly Challenge. This month's challenge is to make a project that simplifies as a gift. So here is my project a treat box and you can find the instructions here.

Instructions:
1. Create treat box using Early Espresso cardstock as per instructions.
2. Cut cream paper 1 1/4"x 4 3/4", adhere to top of  box. Cut window with tag from Lucy Label Pop Up die. Adhere clear acetate to fit inside of box.
3. Cut 2 pieces of Triangle vellum 5/8"x 4 3/4". Adhere to both sides of box.
4. Cut gold snowflake paper
3 1/4"x 4 3/4", adhere to base. Cut stripe vellum 3 "x 4 1/2" adhere to gold paper.
5. Cut gold tag using Tags & More 1 -Lace. Cut stripe vellum 2 3/4"x 4", adhere to gold tag. Cut cream paper 2 1/2"x 3 3/4" adhere to stripe vellum. Cut a strip of Triangle vellum 7/8"x 2 3/4". Adhere to stripe vellum. Add gold ribbon.

6. Add Transparent/ Gold Glitter Borders as shown.
7. Cut "Peace", and "Merry Christmas" using Silver Shimmer Sheetz. Cut tag from Lucy Label Pop Up die. Place "Peace" on top.

8. Place Black Decorated Christmas Trees Peel-Off onto white cardstock with double sided adhesive on top. Cover Peel-offs with Cool Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter and polish glitter with your finger. Use a brush to brush off the excess glitter. Follow Els’ step by step instructions for this technique HEREI used Tombow Dual Brush Markers although they do require extra time to dry as they are water-based. Use alcohol-based markers instead of water based markers if you prefer.
9. Add Red Glitter dots to Christmas tree along with Transparent/ Gold Glitter Stars to top of tree.

10. Cut Snowflakes from Stripe Vellum paper. Adhere using pop up dots. Add Transparent/ Gold Glitter Stars to top of snowflake.

Here is my second project which is Lip Balm holder. You can find the complete instructions here. I just change the opening for Lip Balm using a 3/4" punch.
The Black Christmas Cup Cakes Peel-Off were done the same way as in Step 8. Cut oval out using oval from Katie Label Pivot Card with stripe vellum paper. Add Transparent /Gold Glitter borders as shown.
1. Add Black Best Wishes Peel-Off as shown.
2. To close the box add a piece of Velcro.

Peace & Joy

IMG_1478-1Hello Everyone. Jackie here with today's post. I'm back with another Christmas card using my favourite colors - white and gold. I love the new Transparent Double Sided Adhesive Tape Rolls and Sheets from Elizabeth Craft Designs. In addition to being transparent (and just perfect for Silk Microfine Glitter techniques), it's also nice and thin with a thin release sheet that makes it ideal for die cutting with ECD's intricate dies. I used it on striped vellum and it didn't show through!
Instructions:
1. Create card base from white cardstock. Cut 10"x 17" rectangle; score and fold in half
(5"x 7" finished card size).
2. Cut cream paper 4"x 4 3/4". Emboss with Pinecones embossing folder then Sponge with Gold ink. Adhere with ECD Transparent Double Sided Adhesive onto bottom of base card.IMG_1463-1
3. Cut gold paper 4"x 4 3/4". Emboss with Sprigs embossing folder. Sponge with gold ink. Adhere with ECD Transparent Double Sided Adhesive at the top of card base. Make sure it slightly overlaps with the white paper from step 2. IMG_1465-1

4. Add Transparent/Silver Glitter Border Peel-Off where the 2 papers meet.
5. Cut striped vellum 3 3/4" x 6 3/4". Adhere with ECD Transparent Double Sided Adhesive as shown.
6. Apply Transparent Double Sided Adhesive to white cardstock. Die cut "Sprig" twice,
"Round Ornament", "Joy" and "Peace". Cover Sprigs with a mixture of  3 Silk Microfine Glitters. Sprinkle Solar Gold Glitter over Ornament. Sprinkle Antique Gold over Joy and Peace. Burnish glitter with finger. Tip: Keep any glitter that has an accidental mixture of colors in a spare jar to use for other projects. Label the jar "Debris" or "Mystery Combo" and add to it whenever you've got colors that can't go back into the original jars.
