December Monthly Card Challenge - To use Glitter and Simmer Sheetz



 Hi Everyone, It's that time again for Elizabeth Craft Designs Monthly Challenge. This month's challenge is to make a card or a project using ECD Silk Microfine Glitter and Shimmer Sheetz. So here is my card using glitter and Shimmer Sheetz.

Here are my instructions for making this card:

1. Create card base from black cardstock. Cut 10"x 17" rectangle; score and fold in half (5"x 7" finished card size).
2. Cut blue paper 4 3/4"x 6 3/4" and then cut patterned paper 4 1/2"x 6 1/2".
3. Add dark blue border (box) using 3mm ECD Transparent Double Side Tape. Add light blue border using 6mm tape as shown. Adhere Deep Turquoise Silk Microfine Glitter and Royal Blue respectively.
4. Cut out Gold Metallic Shimmer Sheetz with Bamboo Trellis. Emboss using Berry Branch Embossing folder. Apply Azure and Iris StazOn ink to raised areas. Adhere using pop up dots as shown.
















5. Apply lace to ECD Transparent Double Side Tape. Apply Deep Turquoise Silk Microfine Glitter. Burnish well and sweep off excess before applying Solar Gold glitter.




















6. Remove lace and apply Solar Gold Silk Microfine Glitter. Burnish well with finger.

















7. Cut out with Kimono die. 
8. Cut out overlay with black Velvet Adhesive sheet. Adhere over Kimono in step 7.







9. Apply ECD Transparent Double Side Tape onto white cardstock. Cut flowers using Crystal Flower Set 1. Apply Deep Turquoise and Solar Gold Silk Microfine Glitter. Cut small flowers out with Gold Metallic Shimmer Sheetz with Bunches of Flowers Die and attach as shown. Place 1 large flower in Swirly Curves Embossing Folder and highlight with Azure StazOn inkpad.










10. Adhere blue glitter dot to center of flower. Adhere blue Glitter Border to the outside of card as shown. Cut out "Happy New Year" with blue and black Velvet Sheet.

Hi Everyone, it's Jackie Smith.  I have another card using Karen Burniston's Lorna Label PopUp. With Christmas out of the way, our family enjoys spending time either at the cabin or skiing in the mountains which inspired this card.

Here's how I created my card:
1. Create card base from brown cardstock. Cut 6"x 12" rectangle; score and fold in half.
(6" square card).
2. Cut insert from snowflake paper 5 3/4" x 11" rectangle. Score and fold in half. Line up Lorna Label on center fold of card as per Karen Burniston's instructions here.DSC_0333-1

3. Cut top & bottom edges with Agatha Edges die as shown.

4. For the front, cut blue paper 5 3/4" square. Cut word paper 5 1/2" square, adhere using Elizabeth Craft Designs Transparent Double Side Tape.
5. Cut snowflakes using Blue and White Iridescent Shimmer Sheetz with Snowflakes die (make sure to use the metal adaptor plate when die cutting Shimmer Sheetz). Adhere with pop dots as shown. Save snowflakes for inside. Adhere Silver Snowflake Peel-Offs in center. Cut "Chilly the Penguin" using white and black Velvet Adhesive Sheet. Cut accessories with blue Velvet Adhesive Sheet and Orange Shimmer Sheetz. Adhere using liquid glue. Die cut snow using Outdoor Edges with White Velvet Adhesive Sheet. Adhere to the front and save snow for inside as well.

6. Cut house with brown paper with House Pivot Card die. Cut accessories with silver damask paper. Cut window light with Yellow Velvet Adhesive Sheet.DSC_0336-1
7. Adhere window overlay with liquid adhesive as shown. Adhere  Silver/Gold Glitter Icicles Peel-Offs to window sills as shown. Cut Wreath with Green Metallic Shimmer Sheetz and red bow with Red Velvet Adhesive Sheet as shown.

8. Cut trees with green paper and Green Metallic Shimmer Sheetz. Place green metallic trees in Swirly Leaves Embossing folder. Apply StazOn ink over top. Apply liquid glue to trees, apply white silk microfine glitter for snow.

9. Cut tag with Tags die with patterned paper. Adhere sticker with pop dots as shown. Adhere layered snowflake from step 4.

Merry Christmas

DSC_0291-1Hi Everyone, it's Jackie Smith. I have another Christmas card for you using Karen Burniston's House Pivot Card Die.  Although our winter tends to stay way too long, I love having snow on Christmas day which inspired today's card.DSC_0297-1
Here is how I created my card:
1. Create card base from cream cardstock. Cut 6"x 12" rectangle; score and fold in half. (6" square card).
2. Line up middle of fence (House Pivot Card Die) on fold of card as per Karen Burniston's instructions here.
3. Cut 4 backing strips (2 3/4"x 5 3/4") and 4 backing strips ( 1 3/4"x 5 3/4") adhere with Elizabeth Craft Designs Transparent Double Sided Tape as shown

4. Cut 6 pieces snow with Outdoor Edges die with White Velvet Sheet. Adhere to the bottom of the card.

5. Cut 2 trees, fence, bricks using brown paper. Cut roof edge,  windows, door and chimney using silver damask paper. Adhere roof using pop up dots and rest transparent double sided tape.
6. Die cut 2 wreaths using Green Metallic Shimmer Sheetz. Adhere to doors. Apply liquid glue to fence, apply white silk microfine glitter for snow. Apply snow marker to bottom of fence. Heat set to puff it up.IMG_1555-1
7. Apply Silver/Gold Glitter Icicles Peel-Offs to top of card, fences and window sills as shown.DSC_0305-1
8. Die cut "Merry Christmas" using Silver Metallic Shimmer Sheetz. Apply using liquid glue as shown.IMG_1549-1
