My name is Jacqueline Smith, I'm 49 years old and have lived in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada all my life. I’m a horticulturist and work with my Dad who operates an Interior Plant Maintenance firm. It gave me the flexibility to be at home when my son was young.
I’m a single mom now, my husband passed away 6 years ago. I live with my 19 year old son named Cameron. We have this adorable yellow lab named Sarah who is 7. As long as I can remember, I have done something crafty ever since I was 10 years old. First it was macramé, then cross stitching, candle making and painting. Then I discovered rubber stamping/ scrapbooking 10 years ago, thru Cathie Allan who had this amazing store. I was so impressed with her cards that I wanted to duplicate them and I thought I could save some money in the long run by doing them myself. Ha!! I love the creative outlet it has given me to make cards or to scrapbook the perfect photo.
I put my heart into every detail of the cards I create, which varies from unique cards that have a simplicity to the, to more elaborate cards that are engaging and detailed. My cards are unique with emphasis on the exquisite detail for every occasion and no two cards are exactly alike. Simply put, I don’t do simple cards, the more layers the better. I don’t like cutesy stuff, the stamp or digital stamp must have a lot of detail or must be realistic otherwise I won’t even look at it. I have this obsession about having to be on top of the latest gadgets that hit the market when the CHA which comes out twice a year. So I have quite the collection of dies, stamps, inks, markers and paper which helps me come up with the most meticulous card or scrapbook page.
