I used the papers 'Zach's Life' by Little Yellow Bicycle Company for the rest of my papers. I used two layers and cut the following die cuts out using Spellbinders 'Lattice Rectangle' for the bronze paper.
The second die cut uses orange metallic paper which was cut out using Spellbinders 'Fleur de Lis Rectangle'. On top of orange rectangle, was a piece of blue metallic paper cut out by using Spellbinders 'Scallop Rectangle'. I printed the digital image called 'Boy with Flowers' onto shimmery white paper and colored him using Prismacolor pencils. I cut him out leaving a little halo and popped him up using foam dots. I added 4 pumpkin pie corduroy buttons and used some navy ultra suede thread to tie a bow in each button. I placed these buttons on top orange rectangle and placed 4 orange rhinestones on top of the blue rectangle. I added the chipboard from the Zach's Life collection along with some navy velvet ribbon from Michael's.

DDC #13 - "Let's Celebrate!" & A DT Call

Now onto this weeks challenge!! "Let's Celebrate" (Any celebration) We are being sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps this week, so you can use either a Digi Darla Design OR a Bugaboo Stamps image! I decide to put  my hat into Digi Darla's call for Design Team members. So here is my card which is supposedly celebrating Easter with this lovely image from Digi Darla's called 'Thankful Easter Bunny". I started off with a 5"x 7" finished card size using bronze metallic paper as the base. Then I used 'Sweet Nothings' Collection by Kaisercraft for the rest of the papers. The first layer I used Sweet Nothings 'Devoted' and then used Sweet Nothings 'Cupid's Arrow' for the second layer. The final layer I used Sweet Nothings 'Silver Lining' and then ran it thru the embossing folder called 'Square Lattice' by Stampin'Up. I then used Prussian Blue and Rose Coral Fluid Chalk by Clearsnap to highlight the embossed areas. I printed out the image using shimmery white paper and colored him using Prismacolor pencils. I applied liquid applique to his tail and when it was still wet I added Dazzling Diamonds by Stampin'Up. I let this dry overnight or you can heat set it if you are in a hurry. I cut him out leaving a little halo. I then punch out eyelet border using bronze metallic paper and used a Stampin'Up eyelet punch. Then I used a blue lace border sticker from the same collection over top of the eyelet border. I attached it to the base by using pop up dots. I added some May Arts pink ribbon roses on top. I then cut out the flowers and leaves from the same 12 X 12 stickers and 1 rose from the paper collection. I added dimension by using the smaller flower and adding on top of the bigger flower. Using my 2 way glue pen I added glue and used Donna Salazar's Mixed Berries Fairy Dust by Clearsnap to the leaves.

Some Really Exciting News to Share!!!

I'm really excited to let you know that I have just accepted another Design Team position with a relatively new stamp company called Loves Rubberstamps.  http://www.lovesrubberstamps.net/   Laura, the owner, carries a lot of wonderful stamps that I haven't seen in other online stores such as Belles 'n Whistles, Elisabeth Bell Designs, Sweet Pea Stamps and Crafter's Companion in which she is the only USA distributor. She is adding /ordering lots of new stuff every week.  A lot of these stamps I didn't have, so guess I went a little overboard in ordering some of these amazing stamps. I can hardly wait for my order to come and use these stamps in my challenges. Next Week we start our Blog Challenges http://www.lovesrubberstampschallenges.com/ and we also have our inspiration blog as well. http://www.lovesrubberstamps.com/ Check out both of these blogs starting June 4th, 2012. Hope to see everyone there!!

DDC #12 - Card Sketch & A DT Call

Digi Darla's decided to do a DT call and they are looking for 4 new faces to add to their team. So I have decided to answer the DT call. This week challenge is to play with the above sketch and so here is my take. I started off using Early Espresso paper, cut it down to 5"x 7". Then I cut down Bundle of Joy to 4"x 6 3/4" using the second side which is the stripes and then used Lullaby paper again used the second side. I cut this paper 2 1/2"x 6 3/4".  All these papers are from Graphic 45 collection called "Little Darlings" which I absolutely love. I then used my Stampin'Up punch called Eyelet Border to make the border using Early Espresso paper. I used the Digital Stamp by DigiDarlas called 'Sweet Pea' and colored the image using Lyra Pencil Crayons. I added a bow by using Chocolate Chip 5/8 satin ribbon by Stampin'Up. I punch out a little baby using a 1" punch and the baby borders by Graphic 45 'Little Darlings'. I also punched out 1" chipboard circle. I adhered the baby onto the chipboard. I then pressed it down onto Top Boss embossing ink and applied clear embossing powder on top. I did this twice. I punch two holes and tied some sparkling thread in a bow. I added the sentiment from the Little Darlings Tags 2.

UPDATE:   I was one of three top picks for this                 Challenge!!!!

Anything Goes - keyword CHF01

Today is the first of many bi-weekly challenges at Cornish Heritage Farms, every member of the Design Team will take turns hosting a challenge. This week challenge host is Frances, our DT Coordinator, who has requested that "Anything Goes" for this week's challenge. So have a coffee and sit down and visit every member of the Design Team for their cards. Here is my card for this week challenge. I started off with 5"x 7" card size using bronze metallic paper for the base. I'm using the newest Bo Bunny release paper called 'Little Miss' which I happen to love. For the 2nd layer I used Little Miss 'Jaquoya' and 3rd layer I used Little Miss 'Lizzie' on my card which already had a birdcage on it so I went with it. I attached some Calypso Coral  Ruffle Ribbon before attaching to the base. I cut out the birdcage using Spellbinders 'Bird Sanctuary' using Bo Bunny's Coral Vintage paper and while it was still in the die I sponged Rose Coral Fluid Chalk on top. I shaped the birdcage before popping the image up using foam dots. I used the digital stamp called 'Bird #1 260F and printed him onto shimmery white paper along with the sentiment 'It's so nice... 1477-digi. I colored the bird using my prismacolor pencils using the following colors; 926, 925, 923, 942, 916, 1003, 917, 1099, 935, 946, 1092 and 941. I cut the Robin out leaving a little halo and tucked him into the birdcage. I added pearls to the birdcage along with some I am roses that were sprayed using Lindy's Stamp Gang Starburst Spray called  Ramblin' Rose Pink. I sponged some Rose Coral and Chestnut Roan Fluid Chalk onto the sentiment and then cut out a frame using Spellbinders 'Lattice Rectangle' using Little Miss 'Jaquoya'.

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday ~ FTTC168

My challenge theme is *PINK-A-LICIOUS*…. your main color on your card/project has to be *PINK*. It can be anything from softer pink shades to bright pink colors. It has been long time since I have done a Flourishes Timeless Tuesday challenge. So here is my card, I used bronze metallic paper for the base which

is a 5"x 7" finished card. I then used some scraps of paper that I have in my scrap bin for the next couple of layers. I then cut out oval using pink metallic paper using the Spellbinders die called 'Floral Ovals'. I stamped image by Flourishes set called "From the Desk of"onto shimmery white paper by Stampin'Up using black crafter's ink by Clearsnap and embossed using gold EP. I colored the image using Pretty in Pink reinker, Lucky Limeade reinker, Wisteria Wonder reinker and Tea Dye reinker by Tim Holtz using an aquapainter. I placed tiny pearls for the center of the flowers and then cut out my image using the 'Lacey Ovals' by Spellbinders. I found out why you add your pearls after you cut the image out. Otherwise the tiny pearls get a bit recessed into the paper. Oh well you live and learn I guess. I sponged some Orchid Pastel Fluid Chalk around the edges and added some Shabby Pink Smooch ink around the edges as well. I used some bigger pearls and Pretty in Pink satin ribbon bow for the corner. I stamped the sentiment from the same set 'From the Desk of" using black crafter's ink by Clearsnap and embossed using clear EP. I sponged Orchid Pastel Fluid Chalk and Chestnut Roan around the edges. I cut it out using Stampin'Up Largest Oval and then punch out another piece of paper using the Label Punch.
