Stamping with the Dragon Card Challenge - Anything Goes

I hope everyone had a great New Year's Day, my Mother's Birthday is next week and most of my family took her to see Les Miserables movie and then we went out for supper at a new Chinese restaurant. So I'm back with another card for Stamping with the Dragon and this week's theme is Anything Goes. We had a choice of any image in the store and because it's month away for Valentines Day, I chose this image called Spotted Puppy - Puppy Love and you can find it here: http://dragonslairdesigns.com/shop/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=403_404&sort=20a&page=7
I started off using red metallic paper for my base which is a 5"x 7" finished card size. I then used Carta Bella collection called 'Devoted' for the rest. I colored the puppy using Prismacolor pencils and cut it out using scissors. I added some pink and red glitter around the the puppy. I then used a transparent glitter called 'Seabreeze' for the background. I then cut out a red square frame using red metallic paper and cut it out using Spellbinders 'Fleur de Lis Square'. I then adhere the puppy using foam dots on top of the red square. I cut out another square using pink paper from the same collection and the same die but I used a smaller die. I adhere the pink square on top of the red square off setting so it looks like a flower. I cut out the sentiment using Tim Holtz Stacked Words-Valentines using red metallic paper. I used a glue pen to adhere the transparent glitter called 'Hot Lips'. I added some red/gold ribbon along with a bow by May Arts!

The theme for this challenge is:
"Anything goes"

Loves Rubberstamps Design Day

Well I'm back with another Christmas card for Loves Rubberstamps inspirational post. It seems kind of odd that Christmas is over for another year. I started off using Always Artichoke for my base which is a 5" X 7" finished card size. I then used Bo Bunny 'Noel' Collection for the rest. I added 4 layers of paper before cutting out the pine bough 4 times using the Marianne Creatables die called 'Pine Tree Branch' using various of Bo Bunny papers. For 2 of the branches I used the Marvy Uchida Snow Marker for snow and dusted with cool highlight glitter while still wet.
For the other 2 branches I used Sprinkle N Sparkle Dimensional Glue and again sprinkle green highlight glitter on one and cool highlight glitter on the other, while still wet. I stamped the Angel ornament by Impression Obsession using black memento ink that Laura sells both the ink pad and Impression Obsession stamps in her store here; http://lovesrubberstamps.net
I colored the Angel ornament using Prismacolor pencils and then used gold, green, red and blue glitter to coincide with colored pencil areas. I then used a transparent glitter called 'Seabreeze' for the background areas. I added some gold ribbon by Michael's  along with a bow. I added a sticker from the same collection for the sentiment.

My Mom went to England.....

Stamp Set 475 - Holiday Foliage

At Sparkle N Sprinkle we are having an In House Challenge for December which is to make a scrapbook page. Then our designers would get to vote on their favorite one on Jan 1st, 2013 and the winner would get a $25 to spend in the store. For my layout I used the stamp set Holiday Foliage which you can find in the store here; http://sparklensprinkle.com/o/product_info.php?cPath=82_88&products_id=5960 I incorporated a lot of embossing powders, stamps and glitters in this scrapbook page which again can find in the store here, http://sparklensprinkle.com/ and the complete details on how I made this layout will be available on Jan 1st, 2013.When I was growing up we had a couple West Highlander White Terrier dogs, one name Allister who ran away & never came back and then a couple of years later, we got a new Westie name Tammy who died just after my son was born. She was 16 years old, so we have quite a few ornaments in our house featuring Westies. My sister's kids had two Westies called Casey & Molly when they were growing up. Both has since passed on and Casey was born the day after my son so we could always remember how old Casey was.So you know the old saying; my Mother went to England and all she brought back was the dumb old sweater. So here is my scrapbook page of my oldest nephew who is 14 years old now. In this picture he is about 14 months and his wearing a 'Westie' Sweater that my mom brought back for my son who is now 17 years old. Unfortunately my son never wore the sweater  because it was too small for him by the time winter rolled around again. I was too dumb to put it on him in the summer and take a picture. So both my nephews wore the sweater. That's what is written on the hanging sign.

So here is a close- up of the hanging sign.

A Close-up of Zachary.

A Close- up of the left hand side of the layout!

Merry Christmas  and Happy New Year  Everyone!,  I hope everyone has a safe and happy holidays to spend with family!  Well I'm back with another card for Loves Rubberstamps and this weeks challenge is to make a creation celebrating the New Year, Party Themed, Drinks, Cocktails, Party Dresses & Tuxes... etc. We also have a wonderful sponsor this week which is Saturated  Canary.
I started off using Always Artichoke paper for my base which is a 5"x 7" finished card size. I then used  Authentique collection called 'Peaceful' which you find here in Laura's store; http://www.lovesrubberstamps.net/item_1341/PEACEFUL-6X6-Scrapbook-Patterned-Paper-Pack-from-Authentique.htm
For my 4th layer, I decided to used JustRite background stamp called 'Lace' to stamp onto a snowflake paper using Lettuce pigment ink by Clearsnap and then applied Asparagus embossing powder. I then used another JustRite stamp called 'Christmas Vintage Label One' and stamped it 3 times using black pigment ink and gold embossing powder. You can find Justrite stamps  at the store here, http://www.lovesrubberstamps.net/category_307/JustRite-Papercraft.htm  I then used Lindy's Stamp Gang Magicals in the following colors; Green with Envy Green, Black Orchid and Golden Lump to colour the 3 cut out labels. I stamp Happy New Year from the same stamp set using Lettuce pigment ink and Asparagus embossing powder. I punched it out using a large oval punch and popped it up using dimensionals. I picked this image out from Saturated Canary called 'Party Hardy'. I colored it using Prismacolor pencils. I cut out this snowflake using a Sizzix die using light green glitter paper. I used some alcohol inks to color the snowflake to make it darker. I then popped it up using dimensionals onto the snowflake. I added some cream ruffle ribbon from May Arts. I added some gold ribbon along with bow that I found at Michael's.

DDC #43 - Peace on Earth with Ribbon

Well It's a day before Christmas and I'm back with another card for Digi Darla's. This week's theme is Peace on Earth with ribbon. So here is my card, I started off using Chocolate Chip for my base which is a 5"x 7" finished card size. I then used Bo Bunny collection called 'Noel' for the rest. I printed out Digi Darla's Decorative Noel and Love, Peace, Hope and Joy Word Art onto shimmery white paper. I then colored them both using Prismacolor Pencils. I added some blue glitter for the snowflake. I then used a couple of pieces of  layered chipboard from the same collection so that I can attach Noel & Peace to it. I added some lace to the bottom of the card and on top laid down some green ribbon. On top of this I added Peace. I added some more green ribbon by May Arts to the top of the card and then attached another piece of chipboard that says 'Joy'.
