Happy Mothers Day! Inspirational post for Whimsy Stamps

Happy Mother's Day to all the fabulous Moms and I hope all Moms have an awesome day.  I'm back with another inspirational post for Whimsy stamps and this week I'm using Crissy Armstrong's Butterfly Flourish 2 and I used my Prismacolor pencils to colour it. I added some Midnight transparent glitter for the antennas. I started off using Elegant Eggplant for my base which is a 5"x 7" finished card size. I used various of blue and purple papers that I had in my stash. The last blue paper I ran it thru a Darice Embossing folder called 'Butterflies in Corner'. I sponged some teal and wisteria ink to show off the embossed areas. I then cut out an oval using Spellbinders die called 'Lacey Ovals' using Elizabeth Crafts Shimmer Sheetz called 'Blue Iris'. I then got out my Tim Holtz alcohol inks using Pool and Eggplant to colour the shimmer sheetz. I used a Stampin' Up punch called 'Elegant Butterfly' to cut out some smaller butterflies using Blue and Black Iris Shimmer Sheetz and again colored them using Alcohol inks. The bigger butterfly was embossed on the shimmer sheetz using a Cuttlebug embossing folder called 12" Butterfly. Again used Alcohol inks to add some colour. I added some light blue rhinestones down the middle for each butterfly. I added some teal /green satin ribbon by May Arts.

Good Evening! If you're here by way of Brigita Skopas http://gitascreations.blogspot.com perfect. If not, click HERE to get you started at the beginning.
Welcome to the  SNS blog hop of 2013. The Sparkle Team is so enthusiastic about our 2013 Blog Hops. Each hop will reveal a "theme" rather than just an "image category". This monthly blog hop challenge is At the Beach. So here is my rather large card which is 8" square card. I found this really neat product that looks and feels like sand. I then embodied the sea shells which some of them have Super Thick clear embossing powder on them as well.

I hope you enjoyed my large 8" square card and you can find the complete instructions here:http://sparklensprinkle.com/g/view_album.php?set_albumName=People

Please keep on hopping over to Dawn Bennett http://dipndotscreations.blogspot.com
Sparkle N Sprinkle's May's specials can be found HERE.

Every month Sparkle N Sprinkle has a Creative Challenge. Please join us for all the fun. And there are prizes to be won!

To give you time to really check out the fabulous creations that our talented Sparkle Team has designed, the hop will run for TWO DAYS May 9th - 10th!
Plenty of time to get all those comments onto each and every blog to become eligible for our great prizes!!!
Stamp Sets, Glitters (including the new Velvet Glitters), Embossing Powders, Flocking, etc.
To win a prize, leave a comment on each and every blog thru-out the hop.
There are two days to comment - so if you get distracted by life - you can just pick up where you left off.
Three of the prizes are "hidden" on 3 different mystery designer blogs.  Even the designers don't know who has the prizes on their blogs - so don't miss any.
Leaving a heartfelt comment inspires, motivates and brings happiness to each designer!
For those who have hopped with us in the past, the heartfelt sharing you left on our blogs also touched our hearts!
THANK YOU
Designers covet sincere comments left on their blogs.  They share their artwork and hearts, hoping to inspire others.  Visitors who leave comments, in turn, encourage and inspire the designers.  If you absolutely cannot leave a comment for some reason, please e-mail brenda@sparklensprinkle.com with your comment  the name of the blog or designer you are commenting about.  Happy Hopping!!!

Loves Rubberstamps - Anything Goes!

Well I'm back with another card for Loves Rubberstamps and this week's challenge is Anything Goes! So here is my card I started off using Gold metallic paper for my base which is a
5" x 7" finished card size. I used Bo Bunny's 'Serenade' paper for the rest. I added 2 layers before using black for my third layer which I cut out using a new Sizzix die that I just bought called 'Iron Gate Frame'. I then stamped the Poppy 3 times from the JustRite set called 'Botanical Medallions and Banners using black crafter's ink onto shimmery white paper and colored them using Prismacolor pencils. You can find JustRite Stamps in Laura's store here; http://www.lovesrubberstamps.net/category_307/JustRite-Papercraft.htm I then stamped the frame using black crafter's ink onto shimmery white paper and then emboss it using gold  EP. I then used Lindy's Stamp Gang Magicals called Peony Scarlet Red to colour the frame and coloured the inside of the frame using Lucky Shamrock Green. I cut out the inside of the frame so that the black shows off the red poppies. I also cut out poppy from the paper called 'Serenade' and popped it up using pop up dots on the left hand corner and added another poppy on the right side. I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set using black crafter's ink onto yellow paper and emboss using clear EP. I added a gold bow by May Arts.

My first post for Guest Designer for Die-Versons and IT'S Release Night

This has been under wraps for awhile but I was asked to be a Guest Designer for Die-Versions for the month of May. Guess what! it's Release night for May and we are calling it "Trains, Planes and Automoblies." I was given 3 dies to play with and one of my dies was the cute little sailboat. So here is my card using the sailboat, I started out using Early Espresso for my base which is 5"x 7" finished card size. I used Nautical Expedition Designer Series Paper for the rest. I added 2 layers; a brown anchor paper and blue metallic paper. I then took red metallic paper and ran it thru an embossing folder called 'Square Lattice' along with a piece of blue metallic for the third layer. I added some Cherry Cobbler twine to blue embossed paper before attaching onto the red metallic paper.  I then used the stamp set that coordinates with the paper line to add some detail. I took the ledger stamp using Cherry Cobbler ink and stamped onto shimmery white paper. I then took my aqua painter because it was a dye base ink, it bled so it soften the Cherry Cobbler lines and added some blue using Night of Navy reinker to the mix. Again I took the ledger stamps using Early Espress and stamp 3 times onto shimmery white paper using 2 & 3 value. I then used sail boat stamp, to stamp a darker image onto the ledger paper. I then used my aqua painter to bleed the ink out and added some red, blue and brown ink to color the paper. I cut this out using scallop  punch. I added some blue and red ink along edges. I then used the Bon Voyage die from Die-Versions which you can find in the store here; https://www.die-versions.com/Sweet-Spots--Bon-Voyage_p_332.html using red metallic paper which I laid over top of my sail boat. I added a charm that I made using Bronze Utee and used the anchor stamp to stamp into the Utee. I hung it using Tim Holtz jump rings as shown. I cut out the sail boat by Die Versions from the new May release which you will find it here; https://www.die-versions.com/Whispers--Sailing-By_p_384.html using the brown achor paper. I then added another new die that is being release today called "XOXO" Express Edge which you will also find here; https://www.die-versions.com/Express-Edges--XOXO-Edge_p_373.html
We unveil our dies on the first Monday of the month.

Shelly's Images - TTT Challenge Theme - School's Out for SUMMER - Kid Theme Challenge

Well I'm back with another card for Shelly's Images and this was a first for me to be asked to do a Tuesday Tutorial for Shelly's Images. I saw this done by Els from Elizabeth Crafts where she uses her peel- offs, adds Sookwang tape, Warm Highlight Glitter and Copic Markers to colour her image. So I decided to see if this would work with a digital image that was printed onto acetate using the same method; Sookwang tape, Warm Highlight Glitter and Copic Markers which you can find the tutorial here; http://shellysimagesblog.blogspot.ca/2013/04/tutorial-tuesday-coloring-glitter-using.html
So here is how I made my card using Crumb Cake for my base which is a 5"x 7" finished card size. I used Little Yellow Bicycle collection called 'Zach's Life' for the rest. I added 3 layers offsetting each layer. I then cut out a frame using  orange/grey paper and cut it out using a Spellbinders die called 'Lacey Tiers' that was part of the Becca Feeken 'February Kit' by Amazing Paper Grace. I cut the circle overlay using the die that came with the kit using blue paper from the same collection. I added a orange circle chipboard piece from the collection and then laid the boy with the bat on top using pop up dots. I added orange rhinestones on 3 corners of the frame and added various stickers that relate to baseball that I had in my stash.  I really hope you like the tutorial and will try it out!

Stamping with the Dragon - "Spring has sprung, Pastels"

It's my day to show you my card that I made for  Stamping with the Dragon and last week's  theme is 'Spring has sprung - Pastels'. I started off using Going Gray paper for my base which is a 5"x 7" finished card size. I used Bo Bunny's collection called 'Prairie Chic Garden' for the rest. I added 3 layers and then cut out a sign using a Sizzix die called 'Ornate Hanging Frame' using pink paper from same collection.
I printed the image 'Spring lamb' which you can find it here in the store; http://dragonslairdesigns.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=403_416&products_id=1893 onto shimmery white paper and colour her using Prismacolor pencils. I then used a glue pen to added Twinkling Clouds flocking with a touch of glitter which is exclusive to Sparkle N Sprinkle to the lamb to add fluffiness. I then used a fence that was in my stash from another project. I added a flower from the Chantilly- Mixed Blooms - lilac /purple from Petaloo Flowers. I added pink/blue ribbon by May Arts along with a bow
