Another Card for Elizabeth Crafts Design Team Call

Here is another card that I submitted to Elizabeth Craft Designs Design Team Call. I started off using black metallic paper for my base which is 6" square card. For the rest I used Bo Bunny collection called 'Serenity' for the rest. The first layer I used green paper  and laid down black circle paper on top using pop up dots.  Before I popped up the third layer on top of the black circle paper, I added some gold mesh ribbon. I cut out the bamboo trellis (727) die by ECD using kraft corrugated paper which I highlighted using Inka Gold 'Brown Gold' ink. I added a gold bow and wrapped some beads as shown. JustRite Friday Challenge #112 - Color Inspiration

JRFC112
JustRite is having a Color Inspiration this week so, all you need to do is simply create a card or project using the colors and inspiration photo provided. Well it's been awhile since I have done a card or even done a challenge. My mojo has been AWOL since Christmas. So I started off using a light peach metallic paper for the base which is a 5"x 7" finished card size. I then used Kaisercraft collection called "Key to my Heart" for the rest. For the first layer I used a light blue paper and I over stamped in the four corners using corner stamp using a stamp from the JustRite collection called Lace Vintage Labels Three using Tim Holtz Distress ink called 'Tumbled Glass'. I also did it on the second paper using the same stamp but changed the ink colour to Antique Linen. For the third layer I using this technique by Splitcoaststampers called 'Layered Gesso Background' to add some interest. I then stamped the medallion from the same stamp set using Versamark and embossed using Ranger's  'Gilded Gold'. I then coloured some of medallion using Lindy's Stamp Gang Magicals called 'Blue Hawaiian blue'. I then stamped the corner twice, again using Versamark and embossed using Ranger's  'Gilded Gold'. Then I painted the corners using the same colour which I then popped it up using pop up dots on top of the medallion. From the same stamp set, I used the sentiment which I used black crafter's ink to ink the stamp and used clear embossing powder, stamping on the middle part of the medallion which I cut out using scissors. I cut out 2 corners using Filigree Corners by Becca Feeken using gold glitter paper. I added 3 kinds of seam binding by Stampin'Up in the following colours; Crumb Cake, Baja Breeze and Rose Red. I added a red Velvet Wild Rose flower by Petaloo.

To thank you all for your continued support of Whimsy Stamps, the Whimsy design team are holding a fun Christmas event here on the blog in the run up to Christmas!

We will also be running some fun SPOT PRIZES throughout the entire event. The prizes could be hidden here on the Whimsy blog or on our design team member's blogs, so be sure to leave a comment here and on our DT's blog posts each day to be in with a chance to Win!!
Well it's bittersweet day for me, as it's my last post for Whimsy Stamps, I have decided to take a break from DT's. So here is as my creation for the 24 Days of Christmas which is sponsored by Denise Lynn, the owner at Whimsy Stamps. What a great way to thank all of the supportive Whimsy fans who follow the Whimsy Blog throughout the year. There are prizes galore--a grand prize and random prizes throughout. I started off using Early Espresso for my base which is a 5"x 7" finished card size. I then used 'TimberGrove' by Fancy Pants Designs for the rest. I added 3 layers which I offset the last 2. I cut out various snowflakes using Memory Box dies using light blue, white and dark brown metallic paper. I printed out the Penguins using shimmery white paper using the "Penguins are Present" by Crissy's Digi's. I coloured the image using my Prismacolor pencils and added some black flocking to the Penguin. I also added some white glitter to the pompom and to the face of the little penguins. I added a sentiment as well from Whimsy Stamps

I have entered this card in the following challenges:

Shelly's Images - TTT Challenge Theme - Welcome Winter

Wow it's been a really long time since I made a card for Shelly's Images but life has been hectic!! This month's challenge is a Winter Theme- Make Winter themed projects and include a snowflake. Oh Boy is it cold here in Alberta, right now it is -17C with a windchill of -29C. So I'm staying warm and working on my Christmas Cards. So here is my card, I started off using a dark blue metallic paper for my base which is a 5"x 7" finished card size. I then used Bo Bunny's collection called 'Woodland Winter' for the rest. I added 3 layers and then added 2 acrylic snowflakes that I found at the Dollar Store. I then I add Tim Holtz alcohol ink to colour the snowflakes using Silver, Stream and Denim. One of the snowflakes I added some white glue and sprinkled on Tim Holtz Distress Glitter Tumbled Glass and Faded Jeans. I then printed out the "Snow Sign" by Shelly's Images twice onto shimmery white paper and then I inserted the sentiment 'Happy Holidays'  into the sign. I then colored the sign using my Prismacolor pencils. I popped up the sign onto the second sign using pop up dots. I then added some DecoArt's Snow-Tex onto the sign using a palette knife and while it was still wet sprinkled on Tim Holtz Distress Glitter Tumbled Glass and Faded Jeans. I added some silver ribbon along with a bow and added a white snowflake brad to the bow.
