Stamping with the Dragon - "Spring has sprung, Pastels"

It's my day to show you my card that I made for  Stamping with the Dragon and last week's  theme is 'Spring has sprung - Pastels'. I started off using Going Gray paper for my base which is a 5"x 7" finished card size. I used Bo Bunny's collection called 'Prairie Chic Garden' for the rest. I added 3 layers and then cut out a sign using a Sizzix die called 'Ornate Hanging Frame' using pink paper from same collection.
I printed the image 'Spring lamb' which you can find it here in the store; http://dragonslairdesigns.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=403_416&products_id=1893 onto shimmery white paper and colour her using Prismacolor pencils. I then used a glue pen to added Twinkling Clouds flocking with a touch of glitter which is exclusive to Sparkle N Sprinkle to the lamb to add fluffiness. I then used a fence that was in my stash from another project. I added a flower from the Chantilly- Mixed Blooms - lilac /purple from Petaloo Flowers. I added pink/blue ribbon by May Arts along with a bow

Loves Rubberstamps - April Showers

Well I'm back with another card for Loves Rubberstamps and this week's theme is April Showers -so show us either  Rain Showers, Wedding Showers, Bridal Showers, or  Baby Showers type cards. We have 2 special guest Sponsors this week; Eureka Stamps & Paper Nest Dolls. So this week I decided to do a wedding card using Flourishes 'Magnolias' and 'JustRite's Botanicals Medallions & Banners'.
You can find both these stamp companies in her store here; http://www.lovesrubberstamps.net/category_6/Stamps--Shop-by-Company.htm So I started off using white metallic paper for the base which is a 5"x 7" finished card size. I then used various white metallic paper,  white stripe metallic and light gold metallic papers for the rest. I laid down white stripe paper for my first layer and then used a piece of light gold paper that I ran thru a Cuttlebug embossing folder called 'Swiss Dots'. I then  cut out a frame using another piece of white metallic paper and cut it out using a Spellbinders die called 'Lacey Tiers' that was part of the Becca Feeken 'February Kit' by Amazing Paper Grace. I then ran the white metallic circle thru a Tim Holtz Embossing Folder called 'Damask'. I then cut out the circle overlay from the same die using light gold metallic paper. I stamped the largest Magnolia Stamp from the set called 'Magnolia's by Flourishes using black crafter's ink onto shimmery white paper. I then stamped the smallest Magnolia (3 times) from the same set again using black crafter's ink onto shimmery white paper. I colored the Magnolias using Prismacolor pencils and them out using scissors. I added some Bubblegum glitter on the Magnolias and Dazzling Rose on the buds which are exclusive to Sparkle N Sprinkle. I stamped the sentiment from JustRite Botanicals Medallions & Banners' using black crafter's ink onto shimmery white paper and used Pearl embossing powder by Clearsnap. I added some white organza ribbon along with a bow.

Inspirational Post for Whimsy Stamps

Here I am wrapping up my birthday dealing with another snowy/sleeting day here in Alberta thinking in all my 48 years I have never seen snow on my birthday and wondering if spring will ever come. So here is  another card that I'm showcasing for Whimsy Stamps for April's release. This time I'm using Millie by Lia Stampz.
I started off using Chocolate Chip paper for my base which is a 5"x 7" finished card size. I used Koshi by Basic Grey collection for the rest. I added 4 layers and then I cut out another frame using Spellbinders die called 'Lacey Tiers' that came from Amazing Paper Grace February kit that Becca Feeken designed. I then cut out the circle overlay using Lavender Lace paper from the same die. I added some Lacy Lilac glitter exclusive to Sparkle N Sprinkle. I laid a circle sticker from the same collection which I then laid Millie on top using pop up dots. I colored Millie using Prismacolor pencils and added some brown sparkle flocking on the bear. I used the sentiment by Lia Stampz and cut it out using a Curly Label punch. Then punched out a green mat using a larger Curly Label punch. I sponged Violet Mist along the edges. I added some light purple pearls as shown. I then add some light green ribbon along with a bow and 2 rhinestone flourishes. And topped it off using purple resin flowers by Webster's pages.

Loves Rubberstamps Card Challenge - The Great Outdoors

Well I'm back with another card for Loves Rubberstamps Card Challenge and this week's theme is The Great Outdoors. Our sponsor this week is The Paper Shelter and we were given the option of 3 images to use. I chose the Adorable Cowgirl as my focal image. So I printed her onto shimmery white paper and colored her using Prismacolor pencils. So I started off using Early Espresso for my base which is a 5"x 7" finished card size. I then used Bo Bunny collection called 'Prairie Chic' that fit this challenge perfectly. You can  find this in the store here; http://www.lovesrubberstamps.net/item_2168/PRAIRIE-CHIC-12x12-COLLECTION-PACK-Prairie-Chic-Collection-from-Bo-Bunny.htm I added 3 layers and then used a Twiddleybitz chipboard called Musical Bars that I changed by cutting it down to fit my card and the extra pieces I glued on for fence posts. I took Ranger's Emboss It dauber to coat my chipboard and then used Lindy's Gang Two-Toned Embossing powders using Midnight Emerald Obsidian and Midnight Bronze Obsidian. I started off using the Bronze EP to cover some of the fence and then sprinkle some of the Emerald EP onto the fence all at the same time and then heat set.  I added 2 coats. I then took some hemp twine and made a lasso which I glue onto the fence. I then cut out 2 sets of  boots using blue and pink glitter paper using Spellbinders die called 'Western Broncos' made exclusively for Heartfelt Creations as well as the cowgirl hat. Then I cut up the pink boots to add dimension to the blue boots. I used the sentiment from sticker collection and then cut out a label using blue paper  and cut it out using Spellbinders die called 'Label 20'.You can find some Spellbinders dies here in the store; http://www.lovesrubberstamps.net/category_358/Spellbinders.htm I added some trees that I cut out from a Cottage Cutz die called 'Rustic Sign & Trees' using green and light green paper from the same collection. I added some transparent glitter called 'Lime' and some opaque glitter called 'Emerald Green' onto the trees to add some bling.

Inspirational Post for Whimsy Stamps

Well I'm back with another inspirational card for Whimsy Stamps. I started off using Early Espresso paper for my base which is a 5"x 7" finished card size. I used Bo Bunny's collection called ' Prairie Chic Garden' for the rest. I added 3 layers and I sponged Tea Rose, Spring Green Vivid inks along the edges. I then cut out a frame using the latest Memory box die called 'Palace Oval Frame' using pink paper from Prairie Chic Garden. I then tried to cut an oval using the same die using Tim Holtz Mirrored sheets. It didn't cut all the way thru so I improvised  using Fiskars paper edgers 'stamp' scissor to mimic the frame edge. Sorry the photo doesn't do the mirrored paper justice. I printed the little girl from Kathryn Stamp Art Designs called 'Allie & Angel'. I colored her skin using Copic markers using E00, E11 and E13. I colored the rest of her using Prismacolor pencils and added some yellow glitter the centers of the flowers. I also added some rose glitter to her bows in her hair. I added some rose pearls to the frame as well as a white flower colored by using Lindy's Stamp Gang Starburst spray called 'Ramblin Rose Pink'.  I added a banner from the Bo Bunny Collection called 'Cést la Vie' stickers along with the sentiment stickers. The sentiment is a bonus from Kathryn Stamp Art Designs and I just cut it out with scissors and added some color by sponging on Tea Rose, Spring Green Vivid inks on the edge.

Shelly's Images - TTT Challenge Theme - April Showers bring May FLOWERS

Well I'm back with another card for Shelly's Images and this week's theme is to use a flower or flowers on your project (easy for all of you since the digi is already a flower). I started off using bronze metallic paper as my base which is a 5"x 7" finished card size. I used Bo Bunny collection called 'Little Miss' for the rest. I added 3 layers before cutting out a frame using the 'Lacy Tiers Die' from the Amazing Paper Graces February Kit Club that unfortunately is no longer running using copper metallic paper. I then applied double side adhesive tape to the back of the circle die and then used Hot Lips Transparent Glitter to accent the intricate die. I then printed the digital image onto acetate and onto shimmery white paper, applied double sided adhesive to acetate on the back and added Warm Highlight Glitter to the backside of the flower. I colored the glitter from the backside using my Copic Markers using the following colours YR04, YR68, R27, YG23, and G29. I then colored the other paper image using Prismacolor pencils. I placed the acetate flower on top of the paper flower using pop up dots. I then took some white flowers and colored them using Lindy's Stamp Gang Starburst sprays in the following colours; Plumeria Pink, Cape Cod Coral and Salt Water Taffy. I added a Prima Marketing brown flower to the large pink flower, added pink brad to another flower and added a pink adornment to the other flower. I cut out some flourishes using orange, pink glitter paper using Tim Holtz 'Elegant Flourishes' and Cheery Lynn die called 'Fanciful Flourish'. I also printed the sentiment onto acetate and coloured it the same way as the flower. I laid this on top of a Little Miss die cut journaling & page accents.
