Well I'm back with another card for Shelly's Images and this week's theme is 'Use Scallops'

I started off using Early Espresso for my base which is a 6" square card which I used the Spellbinders Grand Scalloped Squares to cut it out. I used the collection from Basic Grey called 'Senerade' for the rest. I used the green stripe paper and again cut it out using the next size down in the Grand Scalloped Squares by Spellbinders. I then cut out a doily using the newest Circle Edge Punch by Martha Stewart using the Chevron paper from the same collection. I added another scalloped square before cutting out scallops using a die called Tasteful Trim by Stampin'Up using the same paper collection. I printed the horse and sentiment onto shimmery white paper and colored the horse using Prismacolor pencils. I popped it up using foam tape. I then punched out the sentiment using a scallop punch by Stampin'Up. I sponged Chestnut Roan and Green ink along the edges to tone down the white. I added some blue/brown dot ribbon along with the bow that I found at Michael's.
Jackie...this is so pretty. I love the coloring you did on the horse. The texture that you allowed to show is just perfect. And I love how the blue halter really shows. And all of the other elements come together perfectly for an amazing project. Great job!
ReplyDeleteThe horse is my favorite part. He really stands out.
ReplyDeleteGreat card Jackie.
