DT Semi- finalists: Today we are pleased to announce the HC Design Team Semi-finalists. Choosing from such great talent and diversified submissions is very difficult and we appreciate all the applicants that participated in the design team call. It's a dream come true, I started this blog in the hopes that I would make a Design Team and have a place to showcase my work. It took a lot of rejections and a special someone who told me I would make it. So thank you everyone who told me to keep trying!

Dreamweaver's Thursday's Dream Schemes/This month's challenge is green

This month we are challenging our readers to Go Green or Go Braugh in celebration of the upcoming month of March. So here is my card for Dreamweaver's challenge;

I started off using Old Olive paper by Stampin'Up and cut it down to 5"x 7" size. I used papers from the Butterfly Collection by Pink Paislee for the next two layers. I added some crochet lace by May Arts and then used Pear Pizzazz 5/8ths Pleated Satin Ribbon before attaching to the base. I than ran the 3rd layer thru an embossing folder by Teresa Collins called 'Timeless'.  I then used Lime & Olive Pastel Fluid Chalk by Clearsnap over the raised areas. I stamped 'Happy St. Patrick's Day' by Stampin'Up set called 'Teeny Tiny Wishes' using black pigment ink and black EP.  I used the stencil LL3017 Cameo that I received in last month's challenge for the picture. I used glossy black embossing paste while it was still wet I sprinkled on some transparent ultrafine green glitter by In The Making Enterprises. I cut this out using a large scallop punch by Marvy Uchida and then cut out another light green glitter scallop oval using a giga punch. For the leaves I used Tim Holtz 'Tattered Pinecone' using light green and dark green glitter paper. For the two corners I used the stencil LJ885 'Leaf Corners' and using  double sided tape and some olive soap. After soaping my stencil, I laid it down on double sided tape which then laid it down on the acetate. Then I applied a light green glitter called 'Granny Smith' and then a darker one called 'Moss Green' using a straw and so called painted my leaves with this technique.

Graphic 45 Design Team Call 2012 Audition!!!

It's the day that many of you have been waiting for! We are so excited to announce the Graphic 45 Design Team Call for 2012! Yes, that's right! It's your chance to try out for our awesome design team! This is an event that we always look forward to. It's a lot of fun and a fantastic opportunity for all of you talented Graphic 45 papercrafters out there! Our design team search will consist of two rounds. Please read the entire contents of both rounds, as there is quite a bit of information.
So I decided to throw my hat in the ring, so here are my six projects for the design team.
Project #1 - features an Easel card with a twist - 2 extra folds. It uses the fabulous new Tropical Travelogue papers.

Project #2 is a Double Twisted Easel Card using the Christmas Emporium papers:

 Project #3 is a card that again uses my favorite papers from the Graphic 45 line called Tropical Travelogue: Love those colors!!Here is a look on the inside of the card.

 Project #4 is an explosion box that can house a gift certificate in the center. I added 5 tags to the design.




Project #5 is a Baby Brag Book which has all these little hidden pockets for pictures: It uses the New Little Darlings paper that just came out which again I love.




 Project #6 is another Baby Album or Flag Album for Baby's First Year: It uses the new collection from Graphic 45 called Little Darlings.

Cornish Heritage Farms Design Team Call

As you know when Cornish Heritage Farms first owners decide to retire, I was really sad to see them go. I love their stamps especially the Thomas Kinkade because of the exquisite attention to detail so like his paintings. Anyways they have a new owner who's name is Tanya, who is just getting things running and she has brought back some of  my favorite stamps. I wish her the best of luck with her endeavors. Anyways she put out a Design Team call for one of the best design teams in the stamping industry? Cornish Heritage Farms are looking for 10 enthusiastic talented stampers to join our Design Team for 2012! So decided to put my name in the running. So here are my cards that I put forward;

I won't know if I made it until the end of February but it was a lot of fun trying out. Good luck to all who try out.

Card # 1 Special Gatefold Card

Here is the inside of the gate fold card.

My second card uses one of  Thomas Kinkade stamp called the TK -111T Stone hearth Hutch and the background stamp called SL-3177 WUM Picotage Print by Cornish Heritage Farms.

My Third card is an Easel Card using a digital stamp called a Flower wheelbarrow by CHF using Lyra Pencil crayons to color the image.

My last card which is a Tri- Shutter card is again using a digital stamp called Holly Kitten by CHF. I also used LL -6014 FUM Winter Vintage Signage as well by CHF. This image was colored using Prismacolor pencils and gamsol.

You’ve been FRAMED: a Noon Time Challenge!

This time, we’re going to “frame you!” Not in a CSI way, but using a frame in some way, shape or form in your card or creation! Simply use a frame – whether it be stamped or with a die cut – on your card or creation. Just that simple!  So here is my challenge, I used a 5"x 5" square card. I started off using Crumb Cake for the base and then used Morning Mocha Specialty paper for the second layer all by Stampin'Up. I ran this embossing folder called 'Ornate Frames thru white stripe paper called 'Bride Specialty paper by Stampin'Up. I then used Crumb cake ink pad to go over the embossed image and highlight it. I stamped image from the set called 'From the desk of..' by Flourishes using black crafter's ink and heat set it. I watercolored the image using Regal Rose, Always Artichoke and Pale Plum reinkers by Stampin'Up. I
 added some really small pearls by Stampin'Up for the middle. I cut this out using Spellbinder's 'Lacey Circles'. I used Sassy Pink Smooch ink by Clearsnap to color the edge. I stamped the sentiment from the set called 'With Graditute' by Flourishes using black crafters ink and clear EP by Clearsnap onto Brushed Gold paper. I punched this out using EL Success journalling punch. Added 2 gold dots Candi brads where shown.
