My Design Team Day - Loves Rubberstamps

This weekend is special, we are celebrating Canada Day on Sunday. So it's the  long weekend and  I'm going to be in my craft room making cards. It's also bittersweet too, that the place that I teach is closing its doors and the owner is retiring.

So this is for you Kim, Happy Retirement!!! So here is my card for Saturday, it's a 6"square card using basic black paper for the base. I then used some green / gold weaved paper from my stash for the first layer. Then I used Bo Bunny's collection called 'Serenity' for the rest of my papers. For the circle, I used the Serenity Cut Outs and cut the inside out. I popped this circle up by using pop up dots. Then I used the Serenity Damask for the inside of the circle of which the girl is laid upon. I used an EK Success 'Modern Cube' punch to make this layer in which I found this tutorial by Becca Feeken

I cut a 1 3/4" square using some gold stripe paper to add contrast to the girl. I stamped the girl (Yuki) from the Connie Fong Collection for Sweet Pea Stamps using black memento ink and coloured her using Prismacolor Pencils. The saying is from 'Thank You Tabs 1 by Whimsy Stamps using gold pigment ink and black embossing powder. I cut out the flourishes using red metallic paper and used Fanciful Flourish Die by Cheery Lynn Dies. I added some white and burgundy roses from I AM Roses. I added some gold ribbon by May Arts in the corners along with a triple bow.

I ran ti thru a Tim Holtz embossing folder called Damask. I then got out my Pan Pastels and applied some colour using greens and blues. I added a strip of blue metallic paper and then laid down white cryogen paper. On top of that I used some Anna Griffin paper which was blue & white damask Ag 1673. I add two strips of red glitter scallop by using Stampin 'up 'Tasteful Trim".  I stamped 3 flowers using Heartfelt Creations 'Posy Patch' flowers using platinum pigment ink and embossed using gold embossing powder. I coloured them using Lindy's Stamping Gang Magicals Dark Chocolate Truffle and Afternoon Delight Denim. I added  3 different colours of corduroy buttons in Pacific Point, Real Red and Kiwi Kiss. I cut out 3 sprigs using Stampin'Up Little Leaves using green metallic paper. I punched out 1 heart using Stampin'Up heart punch using green paper. Okay I'm back with another Stamping Dragons Designs card, this week's challenge is to use Red, White and Blue.  Here is my design, I started off using white cryogen paper as the base with a finished size of 5"x 7". I used some blue and white damask Anna Griffin paper AG1673 then laid some blue metallic paper on top. I ran the white paper thru a Stampin'Up embossing folder called 'Snowburst' and ran the red metallic paper thru another embossing folder by Stampin'Up called 'Square Lattice'. I printed the Dragon called Union Jack using Very Vanilla paper and coloured the dragon using prismacolor pencils. I cut him out using 'Wonky Squares' by Spellbinders and I sponged the edge using Warm Red Fluid Chalk by Clearsnap. Then I cut out the red frame using the largest and second largest Wonky Squares. Loves Rubberstamps Design Day

Well it's Saturday again, and I back with my card show casing another stamp set from Loves Rubberstamps store. It's called Rose Clock and it's from Stamp -it Australia.

It's another 5"x 7" finished card size using bronze metallic paper for the base. I used the latest collection from Bo Bunny called 'Little Miss' which I adore. Then I stamped the rose clock using black memento ink onto shimmery white paper and coloured the image using Prismacolor pencils and odorless turpentine. Then ran it thru a Sizzix embossing folder called Frame Ornate Oval. I sponged Rose Coral Fluid Chalk over the raised embossed areas. I then used Cheery Lynn die called Lace Rose & Flourishes using pink metallic paper. I cut off the flourishes and used them on the right side of the card. I attached the rose to some Sookwang tape and used the following Glitter Ritz; Chartreuse, Sweet Basil for the leaves and Burgundy and Rose Copper for the rose. I cut out the lamppost using a die from La- La Land Crafts and green glitter paper. Again I attached some Sookwang tape to the lantern and applied some Glitter Ritz with the following colours; Yellow and Harvest Gold. I added some pink roses by Prima Marketing and some basic pearls as shown.
