For my card, my favorite time of the year is Christmas so I used the following Flourishes Stamp sets: Christmas Music and Santa, I Believe. These are my favorite Christmas sets that Flourishes introduced last year; actually I like all their sets. I started out with a 6" X 6" Cherry Cobler as my base card, layered with red glitter paper that I used to cut out from the scalloped trim from Tasteful Trim XL die. Then I added Deck the Halls DSP which happens to be my favorite Christmas paper that Stampin'Up brought in the holiday mini which just retired. I cut out some of the Poinsettia using a craft knife so that I could slip my images in and have the Poinsettias frame my picture. Then I wrapped around some gold ribbon and then layered lace ribbon on top.I stamped the Christmas Music using Black Crafter's ink and embossed using detail black embossing powder. I sponged on it using Tim Holtz distress inks in the following colors: Wild Honey, Forest Moss, Fired Brick and Pine Needles. I tore all 4 edges. I cut out another Poinsettia from another sheet of the Deck the Halls DSP for the right corner. To the Poinsettia's I took a paint brush and applied Top Boss embossing reinker to them and applied clear embossing powder to get a shiny appearance. Stamp Santa using Appricot Ice on Shimmery White paper and colored him with Prismacolor pencils. Applied Gold Lame Smooch ink on his glasses. Applied Sparkly Fluff 'Sugar' to his hat, beard and hair usng a 2-way glue pen to add dimension. Applied Xmas Red stickles to the hollyberries. Then I cut him out using Spellbinders 'Label One' die and cut out another one in gold glitter paper. Stamped saying from the set of "Christmas Music" using black Crafter's ink and embossed using detail black embossing powder. Cut out tag from a piece of Deck the Halls paper using Ribbon Tags Trio 2 from Spellbinders. Attached Cherry Cobler seam binding using glue dots. Attached basic pearls to the centers of the Poinsettias and to the left hand corner along with an adornment. My favorites on this card is the coloring on the Santa, bling, Spellbinders and of course my Flourishes stamps.
