Mom

Today's card that I would like to share with you is a card for the following challenges at the Shabby Tea Room, Flourishes Our Winter Thaw Challenge, and Mojo Monday 176 Sketch.   The challenge this week at the Shabby Tea Room was to create a card using only stamping, no pattern paper and only handmade embellishments. So I started out with white paper and to make my background I applied Top Boss clear embossing ink then I sponged in Mica Magic Lilac, Sugar Plum and Purple using black foam tips as shown. This is a technique that Cathie Allan showed me. Then I stamp CHSH 2720 over the background from the Stamp Barn using Popcorn Fluid Chalk. Then I took the pansy image from Flourishes using Black Vivid ink and stamp it over the background. Lastly I applied Very Vanilla Smooch Spritz from Clearsnap to add glimmer. It's really hard to photograph the shimmer in this background. I stamped images using Black Memento ink and colored with Copic Markers BV11, BV13, BV17, VG00, VG03, VG07, Y19 and Y38. I cut out 5 pansy images leaving a halo effect and placed them as shown for the Mojo Monday 176 Sketch. I made flowers using white tissue paper cutting them out using Scallop #2 die from Sizzix and spraying them with Grape Burst Smooch Spritz from Clearsnap and added a purple pearl for center. I cut a tag from the Spellbinder's Ribbon Fancy Tag. Stamped saying from Flourishes "Spring Bouquets" in Black Crafter's ink from Clearsnap. Add purple ribbon from Flourishes.
At Flourishes they have a beautiful inspiration photo which I used the Pansy stamp from the Calendar Set 1 and used the color purple as well.
