Let it Snow!

It’s hard to believe, but it’s that time again – time for another Flourishes release full of creative fun! To get ready, the Flourishes Design Team is offering up a fun-filled challenge and the winner walks away with the entire November Release! So, without further ado….It sparkles, shines and glistens on the landscape. Let’s capture some of that snowy sparkle on our cards or creations! Use glitter, Flower Soft, or any kind of bling that offers up a snowy feel. Here is my snowy card which is a finished 5" x 7" size. I started off using white metallic paper by Stardream then add a second layer  that had gold glitter flourishes on it by Anna Griffin. Then I used another piece of light gold metallic paper again by Stardream. I cut it down so it would fit the Cuttlebug folder called Brocade Window where it embosses and cuts out the window. I added champagne mist shimmer paint by Stampin'Up to the embossed area by using a dauber then quickly added cool highlight microfine Glitter Ritz by In The Making Enterprises so it would stick to the paint. I added gold ribbon that I found at Michael's along with the Whisper White Organza ribbon by Stampin'Up. I popped up the frame using foam tape before attaching to the white metallic card base. I took the window diecut and used it for a template to cut out my vellum a little smaller so I could see the gold flourish paper. I stamped the reindeer from the set by Flourishes called "Sleigh Ride" using black crafter's ink by Clearsnap and gold tinsel EP by Ranger on to the vellum. I colored the reindeer by using champagne mist shimmer paint. I stamped 'Happy Holidays' from the set called 'Dove and Holly' by Flourishes using black crafter's ink by Clearsnap and used clear embossing powder by Ranger. I stamped the Poinsettia from the set called "Poinsettia and Boxwood" by Flourishes and a couple of petals using black crafter's ink by Clearsnap and gold tinsel EP by Ranger. I then used a glue pen and added cool highlight microfine Glitter Ritz by In The Making Enterprises to color the poinsettia. I added basic pearls to the center of poinsettia by using a fabric glue so it would stick to the glitter. I cut out the leaves using Spellbinders die called 'Foliage' using white glitter paper and light gold metallic paper. I added some Oak leaves from a Martha Stewart punch using the same papers. I added some glitter balls from a sprig that I found in Michael's Floral dept. and attached them using fabric glue where shown.
