I'm back again with another card for Shelly's Images using the above image. I started off using black metallic paper as my base. I decided to make a recessed window as shown on Splitcoast Stampers as seen here; http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/recessedwindow/
I did make my card a little bigger by cutting the black metallic paper 7"x 10 3/4" and made the window a litter bigger by using a 3 3/4" square. I used Graphic 45 'Happy Haunting' for the rest of my papers with the exception of purple square in the centre which came from my stash. I printed the image out onto shimmery white paper and printed the ink pot with quill and perfume bottle a second time a bit bigger. All the images were colored using Prismacolor pencils. I adhered black spiderweb felt ribbon by Martha Stewart that I found at Michael's. I used a 2 way glue pen to add some orange and purple glitter by Sparkle N Sprinkle which you can find here at the store; http://sparklensprinkle.com/o/index.php?cPath=23_224 to the spiderwebs. I cut out 4 flourish corners using Heartfelt Creations exclusive die by Spellbinders called 'Decorative Butterfly- Border' using copper metallic paper. I punch out the sentiment "I cast a spell on you" using Spellbinders 'Fancy Framed Tags Two' which I sponged Wisteria and Tangerine Fluid Chalk around the edges and then outlined the edge using Grape Soda & Pumpkin Smooch ink. I then punched out the second part of the sentiment 'and now you're mine' using Designer Label punch by Stampin'Up which I sponged Wisteria around the edges. I added Halloween rhinestones as shown.
I have entered this card in the following Challenges:
1) The Pink Elephant - TPE171 Halloween

Gorgeous piece. Love all the details and textures. Thanks for the link to the tutorial too. May need to try it sometime.
ReplyDeleteLOL! Despite your card's obvious gorgeousness, Jackie, it brought a chuckle which lasted a while. While the card is great for Halloween, I couldn't help but think what a great Valentine's Day card it would make LOL Had to pin this card for sure. Off to check out Shelly's images for that design! I'm sold LOL
ReplyDeleteDonna, you are exactly right! I think it s great for Valentine's Day too!
DeleteJackie...this is a stunning creation. And I didn't notice when I first saw a picture of the project that it was a window card. Just wonderful. And I love your use of the sentiment. Thanks so much for doing such a wonderful job of showing off this fun digi stamp.
