Here is Verve's Mojomonday sketch for this week.

I started out with Early Espresso standard card size 4 1/4" X 5 1/2". I used assorted background papers from Magenta for the 2nd layer. Then I cut a small piece of Bashful Blue cardstock then wrapped  Bashful Blue satin ribbon around it. Using another piece of Magenta's paper pink with red flocked dots layered that on top of the blue. Punched out scallop circle using Marvy Uchida Giga Craft punch from Magenta papers then using 2 1/2" circle punch cut out a  circle from Red Glitter paper from Stampin'Up. I stamped saying from Verve's "Kindred Spirits" on to the oval stamp from Verve's "Just for You" using Black Crafter's ink and embossed using Stampin'Up detail black embossing powder. I used Vivid's Pink and Hot Red dye inks to sponge around the saying and cardstock to tone it down a bit and add interest. I punch out label using EK success 'Journal Plate' from Magenta papers then use Regal Rose 5/8" Grosgrain ribbon to lay on top finished with Real Red Corduroy button from Stampin'Up.

I used copper metallic cardstock for the base and used Magenta papers for the 2nd layer. The third layer is from the Bo Bunny line called "Beau Jardin Poppy". I then applied Tangerine Fluid Chalk over the cardstock and then used Red Fluid Chalk as well. I applied another purple paper from Magenta on a diagonal that overlapped the Bo Bunny paper. Cut it out using Labels 3 from Spellbinders. Add Lime Pastel, Tangerine, Lavender and Berrylicious Fluid Chalk to tone down the white background. Another Card Challenge for Verve Stamps

Here is another card challenge I did. This one is for Verve Stamps. Every week for the month of November they had a card sketch. At the end if your name was picked you won  January new sets that are being released. This is week #1. I started off with Blue Metallic paper from Michael's, layered with Basic Grey 'Figgy Pudding'. Using a fern stamp from the set "Forever in our Hearts" and using blue ink from Clearsnap. I stamped 2 or 3 times without reinking my stamp leaving a graduation of color. Taking a darker blue I stamped some darker images and then inked my edges. I cut out rectangle piece of cardstock from the same 'Figgy Pudding' and did the same. Stamped an ornament using the same paper from the set "Ornamental Christmas" ran it thru an embossing folder called Square Lattice from Stampin'Up. Took my blue inks and inked the raised portions of the embossing folder. Stamp the saying from the same set using Black Crafters ink from Clearsnap and embossed it using Black embossing powder. Punched it out using Marvy uchida scalloped punch again inked the edges.  Used Magenta silver peel offs for the cording and retired silver ribbon from Stampin'Up.

Supplies Used:
Paper: Basic Grey 'Figgy Pudding', Blue Metallic from Michael's
Ink: Vivid Dye ink - Corn Flower, Teal, Bermuda Blue, Inky Blue,
Crafter's ink - Black by Clearsnap
Stamps: Forever in Our Hearts, Ornamental Christmas by Verve Stamps

Merry Christmas

Here is my rendition. I used Night of Navy cardstock as a base, followed by Cajun Craze. I used Blue Awning Zinnia Swirl paper from K & Company. Placed Clearsnap Design adhesive leaves over the K & Company then used a rust glitter from In The Making Enterprises to cover the adhesive. I used "Christmas Ornaments" by Justrite stamps. I stamped ornaments with gold pigment inkpad and embossed with Stampin'Up Glory Gold embossing powder. I cut out the ornaments leaving a little halo and attached them to Night of Navy cardstock again cutting it out leaving a little halo. Punch a little hole at the top of the ornament an attached copper peel offs by Magenta. At the top of the ornament is a bow that used copper cording that retired from Stampin'Up. Stamped word from "Christmas Nested Frames" from JustRite Stampers using gold pigment ink and embossed with gold EP on Night of Navy cardstock. Punched word out using large oval from Stampin'Up and punched a frame out using an EK success punch using Cajun Craze cardstock. On the left side I used Victorian Crochet trim from Stampin'Up and overlayed a gold trim from Michael's in my ribbon stash.

Blue Poinsettia card

Here is a card that I submitted to Flourishes design challenge in corresponding to their new release happening tonight. They have 3 new stamps being released. The challenge was called "Warm Winter Wishes and the card had to have some  blue. I used a metallic blue cardstock for base, 2nd layer added burnish gold from Stampin'Up. Cut a 3" X 3 3/4" Blue Awning Blue Damask paper by K& Company and another 3" X 3 3/4" Blue Awning Blue Floral embossed paper from K & Company. I layered both pieces over the gold paper. Wrap a piece of ribbon from Michael's to cover the joint between 2 papers and tied a faux bow. Using the Poinsetia stamp from the Flourishes set (Poinsettia & Boxwood) I stamped the poinsettia plus the single petals  in Black Memento ink and colored with Copic markers B21,B24, B28. I then popped some of the single petals using pop up dots to add dimention.I added blue glass glitter from Melissa Frances to the petals of the poinsettia. I also add Clearsnap design adhesive "Brocade" by burnishing it onto the cardstock and used "Canadian Blue" and a lighter "Western Blue" glitter from In the Making Enterprises.  Stamp saying in Black Versafine and punch it out with a scallop oval from Stampin'Up and used another label punch from EK success to punch out a piece of blue/gold paper. Add blue glass glitter around scallop. Add 3 pearls to right hand corner.
What do you think?

New card

Last Friday Gina K had a new release party. She had 3 design challenges. This was # 1 challenge; you had to use an odd number of a design element on your card.
Here I stamped 3 pine branches as my design element. The pine branch came from a set called Winter Foliage from Gina K. This was a free set last year when you bought 3 or more sets. The "winter wishes" is from a company called Unity stamp co. that was free with a magazine that I bought at Safeway because it had a free stamp. Imagine that.. more stamps.. The paper was from Stampin'Up along with ribbon and pearls. The 2 die cuts from Spellbinders Label 13 and fancy tags. I used Kiwi smooch to outline the label 13 die and Molasses to outline the tag die. I used a 2 way glue pen to glue and then add blue highlights glitter on the pine branches.
