Hello stamping friends!! We are having something fun this week over at Digi Darla's! We're having a little hop to showcase some of the new releases at our sister site - Digital Stamp Club!! Each of us on the DT chose an image from all of the June releases to show you and guess what!! Each one of us will be choosing one lucky winning comment to receive our image choice!! So make sure you hop around to all our blogs and be sure to comment for a chance to win a DD image!!! We're also giving away a GRAND PRIZE!! Just for joining us, using a DIGI DARLA image, you will have a chance to win ALL of the June's New Release images!!! OMGosh!!
So, let's get this party started, shall we?? If you've arrived here from RACHELLE then you are on the right track!! If you're just arriving, please be sure to start at the very beginning, Denise's blog, so you don't miss one thing!! Our challenge this week is to follow this card sketch, designed by our very own - Karen!!! Easy peezy!!
And here's my creation using Digi Darla's 'Duel Wild Rose!!
I started off using black metallic paper for the base which is a 5"x 7" finished card size. I used newest collection called "Beautiful Moments" by Carta Bella. I cut 1 strip using 'Happy Thoughts' paper and rounded the corners. I used the other side and cut it smaller then ran it thru a Stampin'up Embossing folder called 'Fancy Fan'. I printed the roses using shimmery white paper and coloured the roses using Prismacolor pencils. Then I cut it out using Spellbinders 'Lacey Ovals' and then us out another frame using Raspberry Ripple using the largest and second largest of the same die. I laid this on top of another Spellbinders die called 'Floral Oval' using Regal Rose paper. I added 3 pink candi brads in the right corner. I added Rose Red ribbon, Rose ribbon by Stampin'Up and pleated satin ribbon by May Arts on the bottom. Then I added 3 ribbons using Regal Rose, Rose and Very Vanilla by Stampin'Up.
Now before you leave, be sure to leave me a comment for a chance to win this fabulous image!! Don't forget to join our challenge this week for a chance to win the entire June Release-you need to use a Digi Darla image!!!
If you don't have one, please email Karen and she'll send you a past freebie!
Your next stop is the super talented LAURA (GUEST DT FOR JULY) !! Happy hopping and look fwd to seeing you at Digi Darla's this week!! Good luck!
