Well it's Saturday and I'm back for another card for Loves Rubberstamps. I went to this store here in Edmonton called 'Evergreen Stationary' and they carry some really beautiful Japanese papers. So here is my card I used this stamp called "Toby is Two" by Mo Mannning.
I stamped the saying 'Things can only get better' using black memento ink and punched it out twice using Stampin'up Word Window punch. This reminds me of my relationship with Cameron, I just want to cry sometimes trying to get him to do some work around the house. Typical teenager right. So I started off with some bluish green metallic paper for the base which is a 5"x 7" card size. I then used some gold lined paper for the second layer and then used some gorgeous Japanese paper for the third layer. I added some gold netting,an added some bluish/green ribbon and navy ribbon on top of the netting all by May Arts. On top of that I cut out a tag using Spellbinders 'Ornate Artisan tag & accents using navy metallic paper. Then I used the gold paper and cut out a rectangle using Spellbinders 'Lattice Rectangle'. I coloured the boy using Prismacolor pencils and cut him using Spellbinder's Classic Scallop Oval small and sponged French Blue Fluid Chalk on the edges. Then I cut another tag using dark blue metallic paper and Spellbinders 'Twisted Metal Tags & Accents'. I added some basic pearls as shown.
Adorable card Jacqueline! I understand completely about teenagers...UGH! Wouldn't it feel good some days to just lie down and throw a fit like little Toby - LOL! My kids would think I lost my mind :) Hope your day gets better :) Hugs! Laura
