Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let it Snow! - Create a Winter Scene with a Snow feature...

Today is my brother's 40th Birthday, and it's the only time my mother said she was ready for Christmas! Well I'm back with another card for Loves Rubberstamps and this week's challenge is Let it Snow! Let it Snow! - Think - outdoor scenes, snowflakes, snowmen, igloos & penguins, polar bears on glacier ice... etc! ** This week's SPONSOR IS KENNY K **

I used 'Ice Skate Kate' by Kenny K and colored her using my Prismacolor pencils and I also used white flocking on her tutu. I was trying to create a card that look like she was skating on a open pond with trees all around. So I started off using Night of Navy paper for my base which is a 5"x 7" finished card size.  Then I used Bo Bunny latest collection called 'Powder Mountain' for the rest. You can find the paper pad here in the store; http://www.lovesrubberstamps.net/item_1345/POWDER-MOUNTAIN-6x6-Scrapbook-Patterned-Paper-Pack-from-Bo-Bunny.htm I also used a paper that looked like a sheet of ice which I have had for years which I ran it thru an embossing folder called Birds & Wreath by Sizzix, I then used some white striped metallic paper to make the snow hills. I ran them thru a paper crimper for added effect and to give my trees a starting off point. I cut out the row of background  trees twice using Tim Holtz 'Tree Line' On the edge die using blue paper and light blue paper by Bo Bunny. I then cut out various trees using Tim Holtz 'Snow Tree and Cottage Cutz 'Rustic Sign & Trees and again using the paper from Bo Bunny line. On the dark blue trees I used a Sakura glue pen and added some 'Shaved Ice' by Stampendous for snow. On the 2 light blue trees I used  Viva Decor holographic glitter liner and then sprinkled on blue highlight glitter by In The Making Enterprises over top, to look like snow. I stamped the sentiment from Impression Obsession set called '' Let it Snow' using black crafter's ink and emboss using dark blue embossing powder from Clearsnap. I cut that out using an Anja's Large Oval by Marianne Designs. I added some foam snowflake stickers that I had on hand.
Create a project that uses Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Think - outdoor scenes, snowflakes, snowmen, igloos & penguins, polar bears on glacier ice... etc! **
